Although Gadot is not that great of an actress, she's not terrible to a point where her performance alone will cause a movie to bomb. The movie failed due to two reasons:

1. This was another live-action Disney remake that no one asked for plagued with awful direction and writing.

2. Although Zegler's performance was solid, her narcissism, immaturity, and unprofessionalism alienated half the fan base resulting in review bombing.

Starring alongside with Zendaya, not "Holland playing Zendaya." The poorly written article makes it seem like Zendaya was a character in the Odyssey and will be portrayed by Tom Holland. Possibly done on purpose to get more views with people trying to find out what this confusing, non-sensical title is on about. Should have kept the title straightforward since this news itself is interesting enough to get the views you want.
