Co-op campaigns in  co-op campaign mode, which will give the main narrative a multi-player option.

Unfortunately, the heavily anticipated Halo Infinite co-op campaign mode was delayed in March, with news that the content wouldn't make the original May release window. The delay was caused by developer 343 Industries' desire to deliver a high-quality and polished experience for Halo fans. Unfortunately, this is not the first delay the co-op campaign mode has faced, with a similar delay also occurring in February. Because of this, many Halo players are likely feeling frustrated about the content now being slotted for another later date.

In the Halo April community update, 343 Industries announced that the Halo Infinite co-op campaign release window has been pushed back to August. Like previous updates, the information does not include a set date, which could be frustrating for many players. The co-op update also comes alongside information for Halo Infinite's Season Two, "Lone Wolves", which will go live on May 3, 2022. A roap for Season 3 was also outlined, indicating that new maps, modes, sandbox items, and more are planned for the next adventure in the game.

The April update also announced that  Forge open beta testing is being planned for Season 2. In past games, Forge mode offered the ability to edit multiplayer maps, creating unique and interesting gameplay for Halo fans. The customization, which originated in Halo 3, adds longevity to the game, giving players the ability to create new challenges not present in the base game. Currently, there isn't an available launch date or information for the open beta, but the announcement indicated more details will come during Season 2.

It has also been outlined that 343 Industries will be focusing on quality-of-life fixes and patches throughout Halo Infinite's second season, with a plan to deliver bursts of new content in "Drop Pods". While not much is currently known about these updates, more information could be given in the community livestream planned for Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 1 PM PST. Hopefully, the Halo Infinite livestream will update players on what will come in season 3, and potentially offer more insight into the August release window for co-op campaign content.
