A new teaser trailer has just been revealed, giving gamers a taste of what they can expect from remedy some of Halo Infinite's issues.

Halo Infinite is the first game in the long-running science-fiction FPS to launch its multiplayer as a free-to-play live-service experience. The adoption of this popular model has been something of a rough transition for the 343 Industries team, however, as the game has been heavily criticized for its unsatisfying progression system and slow content rollout; While most players seem to agree that the core of the game-- that is, the shooting and movement mechanics-- are better than they have ever been, the challenge-based approach to earning XP and the minimal amount of new game modes, gear, and other content arriving at the game post-launch have sullied the experience for even the most dedicated Halo fans. 343 Industries does appear to be aware of these concerns, however, and the studio is looking to enhance Halo Infinite with new game modes and other improvements over the coming months.

A recent trailer for Halo Infinite Season 2 that was shared on the official Halo YouTube channel (via Twitter Nibel), offers a glimpse of what this new content might look like. The trailer, while short, shows off a host of new armor and gear sets in a cinematic backed by voiceover related to the theme of the season: Lone Wolves. The trailer also shows a bit of footage from Breaker and Catalyst, two new maps arriving through Season 2.

Fans of Halo Infinite have been waiting for more substantial content to be added, so hopefully this new season can deliver on that front. A number of players were disappointed by the fact that there was no Halo Infinite crossover content for the release of the Halo TV show, but it's possible that that lack of content was a result of the team's resources being focused on this new season. Ideally, this would mean that a lot of meaningful, highly polished content will be coming for Season 2.

The new maps and armor appear to have the high level of quality typical of Halo games, but 343 Industries might have to go the extra mile to please its entire fanbase. Halo Infinite still has some issues with progression and is missing popular modes like Forge, so perhaps these issues will be addressed during Season 2.
