  • I now understand the hype behind this one, this movie has a surprisingly warm atmosphere, despite how messy many of its lead's lives are. While a dozen plot threads being rolled into a single movie, ranging from childhood crushes, grief, affairs, and international relationships, everything is brought together nicely by the end of the feature thanks to fantastic directing and a incredibly stacked cast.

  • Love, Actually has become a holiday tradition for many, and with good reason. It features one of the best covers of Mariah Carey's classic "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and it's one of the best displays of the many different types of love that can exist. My only complaint is that the movie cut its queer storyline. Including it would have made the movie truly representative of the many forms of love.

  • Love Actually is a staple at Christmastime and is one of the only romantic films I have seen that successfully pulls off a large number of character narratives in a satisfying fashion. It's not the best holiday movie around but it always makes me smile.

Love Actually Review: Why Yes, I'm Still Endlessly Charmed By This Controversial Richard Curtis Classic
8/10

Love Actually is aided by its charming cast of A-list British stars and the storylines that are executed well, though the flaws are still present.
