Prior to Tammy's weight loss surgery, she had to mental health examinations, but some of the behavior viewers have struggled with from Tammy persists.
Even though Tammy's been through a lot and deserves grace as she moves through a whole new phase of life, the 1000-Lb Sisters star should be reflecting on what she's dealt with in the past in order to move forward. Instead, Tammy's appeared to do a lot less work on her mental health than she needs to, focusing on her physical health as the main issue she's had overall. With her weight loss nearing a new peak, Tammy may be faced with the mental health issues she's pushed to the side sooner rather than later, and has to address them.

While her weight loss is important, the only way Tammy will be able to fully heal from her past is to do the tough mental work that she's put off in the past. Tammy's ability to ignore the mental side of things has been shocking to some, but with such difficult times in her past, it's clear that reliving her issues would be hard for Tammy, which is why she keeps putting them off. Tammy's hopeful that ignoring said issues will allow her to move forward, but the 1000-Lb Sisters star needs to reevaluate how that's helped in the past.
