The Absolute Universe is a corrupted world by Darkseid that is rooted in his energy and is a more challenging environment than the Prime DC Universe. As such, the threats faced by this world's heroes are more powerful than. For example, Black Mask is an international criminal that destroys cities for profit while Peacemaker is the name of a privatized army assembled by the Lazarus Corporation to enforce their rule on disenfranchised communities. While there are also new threats like the Tetracide or Gotham's Party Animals, the more familiar villains tend to be far more violent and ruthless.

In the Prime Universe, Veronica Cale was a powerful businesswoman, nearly as cutthroat as Superman's greatest foe, Lex Luthor. Cale resented Diana, seeing her as someone who was handed everything, while Cale had to struggle to be respected as an entrepreneur. Cale seems to be just as determined in the Absolute Universe and has worked her way up to becoming the President's National Security Advisor. The question is, does Absolute Cale resent this Diana as much as her counterpart? And if she does, what on Earth can she do as the National Security Advisor to make Absolute Wonder Woman suffer?

But in the Absolute Universe, Cale has the ear of the President and could easily influence him to bring down the entire weight of the United States Military on Diana. And in this world, who knows what kind of firepower the government has ready to unleash on a potential 'threat' like Diana. If Absolute Wonder Woman isn't careful, Veronica Cale could make her life a living hell.
