romantic K-drama, the Netflix series did spend quite some time developing its couples. This was particularly true for Cheong-san and On-jo, whose "best friends to lovers" love story was the driving force of the season.
Almost every Netflix K-drama played with the idea of a love triangle in the first few episodes, but fortunately, that did not move forward. We had two very obvious potential couples to follow, the other one being Nam-ra and Su-hyeok.
Nam-ra And Su-hyeok Should Be The Main Couple Of All Of Us Are Dead Season 2
Their Relationship Is One Of All Of Us Are Dead's Most Fascinating
While Su-hyeok and Nam-ra's potential relationship was an important part of season 1, I believe there is room for them to be front and center in All of Us Are Dead season 2. The characters come from very different worlds – one is a former bully, while the other is a model student with no friends – which can always make for good romance. Su-hyeok was shown to be interested in Nam-ra from the very first episode and even helped her escape from the initial horde of zombies once the outbreak started.
All of Us Are Dead season 2 currently doesn't have a release date.
Nam-ra and Su-hyeok's love story became a lot more complicated once she turned into a hambie. Interestingly, this was also when Su-hyeok's feelings for her became obvious. Whereas everyone was afraid of Nam-ra and wanted her gone, Su-hyeok vouched for her and put his life at risk to prove that she was not turning into a zombie. The fact that Nam-ra eventually learned how to control her powers while away from the group is a good sign for their relationship, although I'm not sure if she will have time to pursue love given everything that is happening.
Why On-jo And Cheong-san's Love Story Will Probably Take A Backseat In Season 2
Even if Cheong-san Is Alive, They May Not Get Together Right Now
Things are not looking good for Cheong-san and On-jo right now. As far as we know, Cheong-san died in season 1's finale. Of course, the character is most likely not dead at all and should return in season 2. However, even if Yoon Chan-young's character is indeed coming back, it is safe to say he will not be the same person as he was before. Cheong-san was bitten by a hambie after all, meaning that he should return as an asymptomatic zombie if he did survive the fall and the explosion.
We must that there was a four-month time jump between the Hyosan bombings and the final scenes of season 1. Therefore, assuming Cheong-san is out there somewhere, he may have chosen not to reunite with his friends to protect them. This means that it should be very difficult for On-jo and Cheong-san to be together, making their already complicated love story even more complex.
Nam-ra And Su-hyeok's Relationship May Be Bittersweet In All Of Us Are Dead Season 2
Nam-ra Could Have To Choose Between Hambies And Humans
Nam-ra and Su-hyeok are in a better position right now than they were during most of season 1, but that does not mean they will get to live a fairy tale romance just yet. It's clear that Nam-ra went through a lot during those four months, and she now seems to have bigger goals than just her survival. The final scene of All of Us Are Dead season 1 makes me think that Nam-ra is helping protect other hambies from the humans that are hunting them.

“A Survival Period For Zombies:” All Of Us Are Dead Season 2’s Story Tease Confirms A Popular Theory About Nam-ra’s Future
All of Us Are Dead season 2 is set to be “a survival period for zombies,” which all but confirms a fan theory about Nam-ra’s future on the show.
All of Us Are Dead season 2 has been called a "survival period for zombies," suggesting that, this time, we will be rooting for the undead against humans. If there comes a time when Nam-ra has to choose between protecting her new hambie friends or going back with her classmates, I'm curious to see how that will affect her relationship with Su-hyeok. Either way, those two should have a very interesting dynamic once All of Us Are Dead finally returns.
