A great Bix and Cassian storyline from Andor season 2's cast of characters allowed Bix and Cassian to spend a lot more time together in a variety of different scenarios.

The season started for the duo on the planet Mina-Rau, with Bix living with Wilmon and Brasso while Cassian was out doing early missions for Andor season 2's timeline drew closer to Rogue One, Bix left Cassian, as she knew he would never fully commit to the Rebellion if she were around, ending their relationship with heartbreaking certainty, given that Cassian dies in the 2016 Star Wars film. The middle section of their journey in Andor season 2 was one of the most compelling and was teased by a great line from season 1.

The Two Had A Tumultuous Period Of Domesticity

The storyline involving Bix and Cassian that I enjoyed watching above the others in Andor season 2 was the second arc, specifically episodes 4-6. Although these episodes were not my favorite of the season overall, Cassian and Bix's storyline was certainly intriguing. For one, it offered a look at domesticity in Star Wars that is incredibly rare, with the long-form, mature storytelling Andor is best at allowing for this to be explored. More than that, though, it fleshed out the romantic dynamic of the two, all while delving deeper into their respective character arcs, especially Bix's.

Bix's PTSD from her torture at the hands of Doctor Gorst in season 1 as well as the attempted sexual assault against her in season 2, episode 3 was difficult to watch. Adria Arjona was excellent as Bix and gave one of the best performances in Andor season 2, making the character immensely sympathetic. Diego Luna matched Arjona, as his intense protection of Bix shone through. All of this rendered the duo's stint on Coruscant an incredibly compelling story that only made their journey in the next arc all the more emotionally impactful.

One Of Cassian's Best Andor Season 1 Lines Foreshadowed The Coruscant Storyline

I have rewatched Andor since the end of season 2, and it still remains the best of Star Wars' TV shows. Interestingly, though, I found that Bix and Cassian's storyline on Coruscant in season 2 was foreshadowed - intentionally or otherwise - in the first season. When Cassian is talking to Luthen in season 1, episode 3, which is one of Andor's best episodes, the latter asks the former how he managed to steal an Imperial starpath unit.

Cassian tells Luthen "You just walk in like you belong." He later goes on to say "They're so fat and satisfied, they can't imagine it. That someone like me would ever get inside their house." This subtly foreshadows Cassian and Bix's - and even Luthen's - situation in Andor season 2. All three of the Empire's biggest enemies live on Coruscant, the Imperial capital, right under the Empire's nose. They live normal lives and go shopping, sell antiques, or go to parties as the Empire could not imagine they had allowed three notorious "criminals" to get inside their house.

Andor Season 2, Episode 6 Proves Cassian Was Always Right

Bix & Cassian Enter An Imperial Compound Unchecked

In Andor season 2, episode 6, this line by Cassian is proven right. The episode ends with Cassian and Bix getting revenge on Doctor Gorst by infiltrating his compound, subjecting him to the same torture he put Bix through, and blowing up the building. The two face minor resistance when doing this, getting inside an Imperial facility - or house, as Cassian once put it - with relative ease. Aside from being such a compelling storyline for Andor season 2, Bix and Cassian's Coruscant excursion proves the latter was right about the Empire's hubris all along.
