This minimal level of , as well as the lack of bug fixes, has left players frustrated with spans longer than even AC Odyssey's.
Fortunately, it now seems as though AC Valhalla's next big update is imminent. According to Twitter PlayStation Game Size (via Push Square), the title's Update 01.012.000 entered the PlayStation database on February 10. The data suggests that, on PlayStation 5 at least, the patch will weigh a massive 67GB. In a subsequent Twitter post, PlayStation Game Size speculates this beefy update could usher in the arrival of AC Valhalla's River Raid, a new game mode featuring three replayable maps. Previous River Raid-related details from Ubisoft did confirm the content would go live on an unspecified date this month.
If the 67GB update on PlayStation's database is related to the River Raid game mode, fan concerns about AC Valhalla's post-launch content could be alleviated. The new game mode will introduce three replayable maps, each replete with gear, silver, Runes, and Books of Knowledge. This particular batch of content will additionally allow players to construct a Jomsviking Hall, which, in turn, enables the recruitment of even more Jomsvikings.
Ubisoft launched AC Valhalla late last year, introducing an AC Odyssey. Unlike its forebear, however, the latest installment allows fans to jump between the male and female counterparts simultaneously, since both are canonical in-game.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
