Eddie Redmayne stars in the film as Anthony Babington, who was convicted for plotting the assassination of Queen Elizabeth along with her estranged sister, Mary Queen of Scots. It was this controversial plot that eventually built the foundations of Mary's case for execution. The Golden Age is one of the best historical drama movies out there for fans of this particular era.

Kristen Stewart and Eddie Redmayne provide two perfectly moving performances as Martine and Gordy, whose complex lives and histories allow the film to delve into some really astute and philosophical ideas. Like many independent dramas in the same vein, The Yellow Handkerchief does a great job of mixing a compelling story with an important message.

The film explores how Hawking came to be regarded as one of the most intelligent people on the planet, whilst also offering an intimate and grounded look at his personal life.

Redmayne won the Academy Award for Best Lead Actor for his performance in the filmproving that the actor is entirely capable of any project thrown his way. The Theory of Everything is widely regarded as one of the best modern biopics out there, and a lot of that is owed to Redmayne's presence.
