When it comes to Marvel Comics' best-selling titles, Wolverine have historically dominated the charts. However, for February 2025, Marvel’s top-selling title was One World Under Doom #1, the first issue of the publisher’s major crossover event for the year.
...Doctor Doom's new series manages to capture all of those real-world fears and concerns in a massive superhero crossover.
According to ICv2, One World Under Doom #1 was the second-best-selling title for the month of February, just behind Absolute Batman #5. That means the crossover event book beat out the likes of Amazing Spider-Man and Ultimate Wolverine to become Marvel’s top-selling title.

Doctor Doom’s Reign as Sorcerer Supreme Sets the Stage for Marvel’s Next Big Crossover
Doctor Doom became Sorcerer Supreme at the conclusion of last year’s major Marvel event, Blood Hunt, during which the vampire Varnae possessed Blade and plunged the entire world into darkness with a vampire invasion. The possessed Blade made his way to Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum, and the surprise attack led Strange to his position as Sorcerer Supreme to another master of the mystic arts: Victor von Doom. Doom successfully removed the Darkforce Dimension barrier set up by Varnae, allowing the Sun to shine upon the Earth once more and repelling the vampire invasion.

How has Doctor Doom, Marvel’s biggest supervillain, managed to convince every government in the world to go along with his global domination?
Following his victory against Varnae and the vampires, Doom retreated to Latveria, where he erected a magical barrier preventing anyone from entering or leaving his home country. The ending of Blood Hunt saw Doom telling Doctor Strange that he would “save the world” his own way, and it appears that One World Under Doom is the result of that plan.

Trust in leaders continues to fade around the world, and Doctor Doom's new series manages to capture all of those real-world fears and concerns in a massive superhero crossover.
