Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has plenty of worthwhile rewards with its new prestige system, but it can be a long grind for players to re-unlock their favorite items each time. Thankfully, for those who hate to wait, Black Ops 6 brings back the classic permanent unlock tokens alongside the newest blueprint system. While it will still take most players a long time to reach the coveted Master Prestige, it'll be a much less tedious experience than in the past.
The biggest challenge with the prestige system is knowing what to spend the hard-earned permanent unlock on, especially with how many great options are available in Black Ops 6. While it can be tempting to spend them on powerful weapons of each category, future updates and free DLC will add weapon blueprints that permanently unlock certain guns already, making it a waste of a permanent unlock. Thankfully, for players struggling to decide, there are a handful of options that are clear winners when it comes to the best items to permanently unlock in Black Ops 6.
10 The Deadly Precision Of The AS VAL
Headshots Galore With This Powerful Assault Rifle
Being the very last item unlocked at level 55, players have a long way to go before they can even try out this deadly weapon. With its incredibly fast rate of fire and reliable recoil, the AS VAL is easily one of the best assault rifles in Black Ops 6 with a quick time-to-kill speed. Players considering using their perk token on the weapon should try it out beforehand after reaching level 55, as not every player will have the same preferences or weapon requirements.

COD Warzone: Every Change Coming When Black Ops Season 1 Starts
A lot of new and free content is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War as it connects to Warzone for Season One, which starts December 16th.
While the AS VAL is certainly a powerful option, it still has the downside of being a weapon equipment, thus prone to permanently unlocking blueprint variations. While there's no way to be sure the AS VAL will get a blueprint anytime soon, let alone a free one, it's still an important factor to consider before permanently unlocking it.
9 The Specialization Of Perk Greed
Adding Even More Utility To Loadouts
Being unlocked at level 54, Perk Greed is one of the best level-based options out there to permanently unlock. Allowing players to equip four perks instead of three, this wildcard opens up a drastically larger number of perk combinations. Not being limited by the three categories, players can use a perk from any of each specialty tree, allowing the handy Dispatcher and Fast Hands to be equipped at once, for example.
A great option to level up even faster in Black Ops 6.
The biggest strength of this unlock is letting players use three perks for the incredibly valuable specialist bonus, while still using one from any other category. Combining the objective-based ives from Strategist with perks like bankroll is a great option to level up even faster in Black Ops 6. The only downside to the Perk Greed wildcard is that it can take some time before players unlock the valuable perks that make it worth using in the first place.
When compared to the much more impactful Gunfighter, Perk Greed has trouble standing on its own, but can be excellent when paired with prestige-unlocked Perks.
8 Sneaking Around With The Ninja Perk
Catching Enemies With Their Backs Turned
With how vital enemy information is in Black Ops 6, being able to hear enemy footsteps can mean life or death in tense moments. The Ninja Perk is one of the more simple options in Black Ops 6, as it merely makes the player's footsteps much quieter without any additional upgrades. While this sounds less than exciting on paper, Ninja can make a world of difference when it comes to moment-to-moment gameplay.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 1 Brings Major Changes And One Iconic Character Fans Are Thrilled To See
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 1 will begin next week, bringing major changes, new modes, and an iconic operator -- The Replacer.
Where the Ninja Perk shines the most is in objective-based game modes, especially slower-paced ones like Search and Destroy. When lives are limited, Ninja can flank around the enemy team with much more success, making a huge difference in the outcome of a match. While the faster-paced gameplay of Black Ops 6 makes Ninja less valuable than in the past, it's still a fantastic Perk to this day.
7 Tricking Enemies With The Sleeper Agent
Waiting For The Perfect Moment To Strike
Sleeper Agent is by far one of the coolest and most powerful Field Upgrades in Black Ops 6, but it's sadly locked until level 51. Letting players disguise themselves as of the enemy team, Sleeper Agent can let players sneak behind enemy lines to set up for high kill counts and Scorestreak potential. While it takes some getting used to, after figuring out how Sleeper Agent works, players will have no problem racking up disguised kills.
Players will have no problem racking up disguised kills.
With how powerful this Field Upgrade is, there's a good chance it will get nerfed again in the future, so players should use its unique gameplay style as much as they can beforehand. The main downside to Sleeper Agent is its counterplay potential, as there are plenty of perks and equipment that make it much more challenging to use without the proper know-how.
Despite this, there are plenty more ways to fight back against the Sleeper Agent's weaknesses with Scorestreaks and various Perks like Cold-Blooded.
6 Life-Saving Stim Shots
Keeping Players In The Fight For Longer
Stim Shots are the lifeblood of the fast-paced modern-day Call of Duty formula, being an invaluable asset to any loadout. Upon use, the Stim Shot drastically increases player health regeneration, getting players up to full health nearly instantly. While these aren't too difficult to unlock compared to some of the other options out there, this level 30 item can earn players countless kills in the early ranks.
An invaluable asset to any loadout.
When used properly, be it taking cover or sliding away from a threat, the Stim Shot can easily catch enemies off guard thinking their target is easy prey. Popping out at full health is more than enough to take down many players, as long as their aim is on point. Even in the middle of a gunfight, this equipment can easily offer enough of an edge to win a fight.
5 The Cold-Blooded Counterintelligence Perk
A Lifesaving Perk In Dire Situations
The Cold-Blooded perk is an absolute necessity when facing off against a winning team, as player-controlled Scorestreaks can make one-sided matches nearly unplayable at times. Unlocked at level 41, this recon Perk allows players to become undetectable to enemy scorestreaks and thermal scopes. This Perk lets players take down enemy Scorestreaks with ease, as they won't be able to fight back while the player locks onto them.
A vital tool to survive when the odds are stacked against players.
While thermal scopes aren't the most common Perk equipment used, they can be incredibly powerful with the right setup. The Cold-Blooded perk is the perfect counter for specific situations like this, being a vital tool to survive when the odds are stacked against players.
4 The Essential Tac Mask Perk
Letting Players Survive Close Quarter Chokepoints
While it may not seem like much at first, Tac Mask is an essential perk for modes like Hardpoint or Domination. With how many tactical items players can have at once in Black Ops 6, it's common for objectives to get spammed with a never-ending flow of concussion and flash grenades. Being especially noticeable on smaller maps like Nuketown, Tac Mask is an incredibly handy Perk to have at the ready.
When combined with Flak Jacket, players can become somewhat resistant to all forms of throwables, making them much more effective at pushing choke points.
Being unlocked at level 44, many players will have a hard time staying on objectives or pushing corners without this helpful Perk. Most enemies will also leave themselves vulnerable after throwing non-lethal equipment, catching them unprepared when they think their opponent is blinded.
3 Instant Killing With The Combat Axe
Saving Lives As A Last Resort Weapon
Warzone fans will know how powerful this instant killing equipment can be in the right hands. While its arc takes some getting used to, the Combat Axe will take down any target in one hit, often being faster than swapping to a secondary weapon. Unlocked at level 53, this throwable Axe is an incredibly worthwhile unlock due to its instant killing potential.
Great when paired with weapons that struggle in close quarters or with ammo constraints.
Being most useful in close-quarters Combat, the Combat Axe can not only take down enemies quietly, but it can also be picked up and reused later. The utility of the Combat Axe makes it great when paired with weapons that struggle in close quarters or with ammo constraints, making for a deadly backup tool.
2 Gearhead For Twice As Many Field Upgrades
Getting More Potential Out Of Valuable Equipment
While a Perk like Gearhead may not seem the most exciting at first, its ability to get game-changing Field Upgrades like Sleeper Agent even faster is a powerful tool. Not only does this level 50 Perk speed up the Field Upgrade recharge rate, but it also lets the equip two different ones at a time. With both Field Upgrades, players can choose which one they want to use when it is fully charged, being incredibly adaptable to different situations.

Black Ops 6 Players Would Apparently Pay To Not See Player Skins & Death Effects After Draconic Forge Release
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players are not thrilled with the release of the Draconic Forge Mastercraft tracer pack and the impact it has on the game.
On top of Gearhead's Field Upgrade changes, it also lets players booby trap their care packages, catching players off guard while buying time for your team. Overall, the Gearhead Perk can be a great asset for players who rely on Field Upgrades consistently, especially when paired with the other Strategist Perks for the specialty upgrade.
1 Making The Ultimate Weapon Combo With Gunfighter
Creating Weapons Of Mass Destruction On The Battlefield
Unlocked at level 33, the Gunfighter Perk is one of the best equipment options in the game by far. Allowing players to equip three extra attachments to their weapon, Gunfighter will drastically increase the performance of almost any weapon. While it doesn't take as long to unlock as much other high-level equipment, the Gunfighter wildcard is incredibly valuable and can make a world of difference in gunfights early on.
Gunfighter will drastically increase the performance of almost any weapon.
With players forced to use different weapons while they unlock their favorites, Gunfighter can make the experience much more enjoyable by covering them in performance-enhancing attachments. While some weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 like the Marine SP shotgun only have 5 slots, a majority of the weapons in the game have more than enough to create drastically different but equally powerful weapon builds.
