Daredevil: Born Again filming has begun in New York, and a new fan photo reveals the first look at Charlie Cox on set of the series. Cox returned to the role in a cameo as Matt Murdock in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home. That movie appearance was followed by a two-episode role in 2022's She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Disney+ series, before now getting his own project to lead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Twitter @dannygonz16 shared a photo with main star Cox on the set of Disney+'s Daredevil: Born Again.

Although the photo did not feature Cox in character, the actor's start of filming for his MCU Daredevil return series is certainly going to get audiences excited. Speculation is high on just how much of the original Netflix series will be continued in some form in the new show, be it with Netflix actors ing Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio in the series, or if certain story elements will be carried over or hinted at.

What To Expect From Daredevil: Born Again

Daredevil: Born Again will not be like the other Disney+ MCU series. While there is currently no confirmation of the show's rating being different from the other Marvel shows, and similar to the Netflix series, what is known is that Daredevil: Born Again has received a whopping 18-episode order. The Daredevil show could include MCU cameos, as well as the return of characters from the Netflix Defenders universe, given the enormous episode order, which doubles that of the biggest shows Marvel has released on Disney+ thus far.

The first character to have been confirmed to return in Daredevil: Born Again, aside from Cox's Daredevil or D'Onofrio's Kingpin, is Jon Bernthal's Punisher. After the cancelation of the Netflix Marvel shows, rumors began running rampant about how Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige wanted to bring Daredevil, Kingpin, Punisher, and Jessica Jones to the MCU. With the recent announcement that Bernthal will be appearing as the Punisher, maybe a Jessica Jones Daredevil: Born Again role might be in the cards. While certain Netflix Marvel actors' chances of ing the MCU are looking good, there are others who are not as fortunate.

Recently, it was reported that the character of Vanessa Fisk from the Netflix Daredevil series has been recast, with original actress Ayelet Zurer giving place to Sandrine Holt (Better Call Saul), who was revealed to have a role in the series last December. Daredevil mainstays, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, are reportedly not returning for the new series, or having their roles recast. Based on that, it stands to be seen how much Daredevil: Born Again will take from Netflix canon.
