Midway through the first episode, Denise dropped a bombshell about her daughters' relationship. Sami and Lola, who once claimed to be close, have now grown distant due to an ongoing rift. Denise has emphasized how much she values family, but the tension between the girls is affecting everyone. She's determined to keep them together, but is this just a petty argument? Or could it hint at a deeper issue that could unfold as the season progresses?

Their strained relationship with their father seemed to strengthen their bond. In a confessional filmed a year ago, Sami shared, "She calls me at least eight times a day." Lola added, "I think we'll always be that way. We're very very close."

The audience first learned of Sami and Lola's rift when Denise confided in her friend and guest star Camille Grammer, revealing the girls hadn't been speaking, with Lola skipping their annual family vacation. Denise believed the argument stemmed from Lola remaining friends with Sami's ex-boyfriend. Lola explained she was friends with him and introduced them. She shared, "[Sami] expected me to just completely drop him as a friend and just leave a hang-out if he was there." Meanwhile, Sami accused Lola of talking with her ex behind her back, saying she was "breaking girl code."

Hoping to mend their relationship, Denise hosted a barbecue, but tensions flared when Sami called Lola "a b---h," and they walked away without resolving anything. During a lunch with their cousin, who Denise asked to mediate, more details emerged. The argument deepened because Sami's ex-boyfriend was best friends with Lola's ex—who Lola disliked, but Sami dated him anyway. Lola also resented being banned from speaking to Sami's ex because of Sami's jealousy. Sami felt betrayed that Lola essentially "chose" her ex-boyfriend instead of her. This could be why the sisters decided to block each other on social media. During an interview with US Weekly, ahead of the show's premiere, Sami revealed that she and Lola had blocked each other for over a year.

I mean, obviously, we still fight like sisters do, but we’re at a much better place. We have each other unblocked now. We followed each other back on Instagram. I think we’re at a good place.

Meanwhile, Sami, more like Richards, is self-made and an OnlyFans model, sharing mature content. She spent her day getting ready for a rave, which she later posted about on Instagram (@samisheen).

Though their differences may seem minor, Sami itted in her confessional, Lola becoming a "woman of God" contributed to their fallout. Sami feels judged and claims Lola thinks she "believes in Satan." Both have acknowledged they have little in common "besides the fact that we're related." Given how they handled their conflict, Lola seems more willing to reconcile, having taken the first step by apologizing. However, Sami hasn't checked out of their bond—it may take time for her to understand Lola's perspective, especially after telling her she loves her, which, according to Lola, "is hard for [Sami] to say."
