Mr. Fantastic being two of the most iconic characters in their respective fictional worlds. In a new piece of fanart, Piccolo uses his rarely utilized stretching abilities to quite literally become Dragon Ball’s version of Reed Richards, complete with Piccolo's very own Fantastic Four costume!

Sharing this Piccolo x Mr. Fantastic art via Instagram, Salva (@salvamakoto) excels when mashing together fictional universes that have no business crossing over, with this latest piece being just another impressive entry in a long list of creative accomplishments.

Consistently ing images featuring crossovers that are as epic as they are hilarious, Salva has previously illustrated Vegeta wearing Batman’s best batsuit, Goku sharing a slice with Michelangelo in the Turtles’ underground sewer lair, and even Goku and Vegeta doing their best Deadpool and Wolverine impression, proving that Salva knows how to make some one-of-a-kind artwork that all nerds can appreciate.

Piccolo’s “Demon Hand” Technique Turns Him Into Dragon Ball’s Version of Mr. Fantastic in New Fanart

Piccolo stretches arm from across the arena in Dragon Ball Super

Capable of stretching his limbs by utilizing his unique Demon Clan gifts, Piccolo has used his “Demon Hand” technique on more than one occasion in Dragon Ball lore, with most of its appearances coming from select films and the Dragon Ball Super show where Piccolo wraps up a scheming Frost while fighting in the Tournament of Power. Meanwhile, Mr. Fantastic achieved elasticity thanks to a space flight gone wrong, resulting in a set of powers that allow him to bend in inhuman ways and stretch upwards of 1500 feet, linking him and Piccolo in a way that Salva capitalizes on.

Standing tall with an uncharacteristically wide smile plastered across his green face, Piccolo, dressed in a blue and white “4” branded costume that will be making its debut in the The Fantastic Four: First Steps film, is drawn stretching his right arm in a loop di looped fist, showing off his flexibility and giving Reed a run for his stretchability. Throwing in a confused Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards off to the side of the frame poking his head into view, Salva, technically but unofficially, brings Piccolo into the MCU as a bonafide member of The Fantastic Four!

Only a few short days ago, the first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps was finally released, officially bringing Marvel’s “First Family” and the stretch-tastic Reed Richards into the MCU in a way that could show how Piccolo and his signature Demon Hand technique could be brought into the live-action space, redeeming the travesty that was Dragon Ball Evolution and single-arm-edly proving that Piccolo was made for the big screen. But until that hopeful time comes, talented creators like Salva (@salvamakoto) will continue to bring disparate characters like Dragon Ball’s Piccolo and Marvel’s Mr. Fantastic together to great effect.
