Pugh was nominated for an Oscar.
One unexpected creative avenue for Florence Pugh came after the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic. While people were stuck at home and bored during lockdowns, Pugh premiered a cooking show on her Instagram Stories titled Cooking with Flo. Periodically she would pop up on people's feeds, teaching them how to make various recipes including butternut squash, tzatziki, and the perfect English cup of tea. However, Cooking with Flo began an indefinite hiatus several months ago, likely during production on reprised the role of Yelena.
On her Instagram Stories, Florence Pugh surprised fans with the sudden resurrection of Cooking with Flo. She apologized for taking so long to make a new video, citing "life," and jumping into preparing courgetti with vegetable sauce and garlic prawns, accompanied by her dog and a cold glass of white wine. The actress certainly proved she does her own stunts in Cooking with Flo, at one point injuring her knuckles while working a peeler. It seems unlikely that Cooking with Flo will be back with any regularity, considering how many projects the in-demand actress is now attached to. One of the major films she has a hand in is Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, in which she plays psychiatrist Jean Tatlock and which will begin production very soon. In addition to that, Pugh is signed on to the new Olivia Wilde movie Don't Worry Darling, the Sebastián Lelio psychological thriller The Wonder, the Nita Prose adaptation The Maid, and the drama A Good Person, which will be directed by her partner Zach Braff.
In addition to her roles in popular films and television shows, Florence Pugh's popularity is certainly due in part to the way she makes herself accessible to fans. Her ability to cook, as well as the fact that she does cook for herself from time to time, makes her feel relatable, and the fact that she is willing to share her expertise for free sets her apart from the crowd. Hopefully Cooking with Flo continues its run for a long time, however unpredictable its schedule may become.
