Ghost of Tsushima is a stunning action-adventure game that everyone needs to play. It is a wonderfully vast, expansive terrain that sees the player play as the troubled Samurai, Jin Sakai. Jin’s ultimate goal is to protect Tsushima Island as the Mongol’s are invading during their first invasion of Japan. Jin is awfully troubled as he has to chose between honoring the ancient warrior Samurai code or using frowned upon methods that are practical but dishonorable. Whilst exploring the island you will come across many different friends and enemies. If it is an enemy, you will have two options; either face off with your sharp Katana or take them out with a stealth mode attack and become ‘the ghost’. This part of the game is quite reminiscent of Farcry and is really enjoyable. In October 2020, developers released a multiplayer mode on the game, so you can now play with friends in two-player or four-player co-operative mode. If you enjoy playing your adventure games online then Ghost of Tsushima will be a good option for you. Perhaps a slight criticism of the game is the amount of cut scenes, although it is marketed as an open world action adventure the narrative is quite structured, and you will encounter quite a lot of cut scenes. However, the scenery alone is worth the purchase.
