Infinity Nikki's open world exploration throws a lot at new players at once, and it's tricky to figure out the best way to explore Miraland. With how much there is to explore, plus many outfits and sidequests to track down. There are a few things you should know before really getting started as a beginner so that you have an easier time navigating Miraland.

Like Genshin Impact and other similar gacha games, there's a lot to see in Infinity Nikki's open world. This includes chests, Warp Spires, enemies, and more, which you can all access right as soon as you finish the tutorial section of the game. The tutorial is helpful for understanding the basics, but there's a lot more to learn as you begin your exploration.

10 For Help With Jumping, Use The Jump Guide

Knowing Where You'll Land Is Super Helpful

Maybe Infold knew that players would have a hard time with the jumping in Infinity Nikki when they added the jump guide feature, or perhaps they just wanted to ensure this game could be enjoyed regardless of your skill level. Either way, the jump guide feature is a really helpful way to learn the jump paths in the game. It can be finicky, and there's an auto-mantle feature that you need to land just right to activate.

For me, learning the jump trajectory for Nikki's little climb was the most fiddly part of the gameplay to master. The mantle will only trigger if you hit the top edge of the surface onto which you're trying to jump, so it can be hard to know where to launch from. The jump guide lets you see where you'll land and turns green if you're in the right spot for the auto-mantle to trigger.

9 Hold Jump To Jump A Bit Higher And Longer

Nikki Can Leap Onto Some Buildings In A Single Bound

The high jump is different from the float jump. Instead of double tapping the jump key, which is the Space Bar on PC, you only hit it once but then hold it down as you jump. This will allow Nikki to do a higher, floatier jump that lets you get onto umbrellas and higher ledges. These jumps are another place where the guide can be handy early on.

8 Collect Everything You Can

If You Don't Need It Now, You'll Need It Later

Infinity Nikki has several collectible materials across its landscape, and they're all used in one sketch or another to craft and upgrade your clothes. To avoid having to search for materials when needed, pick them up as you encounter them on your quests. This will allow you to be prepared no matter the occasion and even speed up story quests that ask you to pick up resources for NPCs.

Picking up everything will also help increase your Insight, which lets you upgrade your outfits later.

The most annoying resources to collect are the animal grooming-related ones, as there are many animals you can't just walk up to. Nothing is more tedious than sneaking behind a kitty to get some fur, one cat at a time, when you'd rather be progressing your quest. Take a moment as you run around to gather the things you come across.

7 Explore As You Complete Quests

There Are Secrets To Be Found In Miraland

Like any good open-world game, Infinity Nikki includes quite a bit of hidden treasure around the hills of Miraland. The only way to find it all is to take some time to explore rather than beelining from point to point on quests. As you travel, grab Whimstars, open chests, and defeat enemies you come across. This will maximize your efficiency and prevent you from having to backtrack later to complete the area.

Even if you're not a die-hard completionist, exploring a bit as you complete quests is helpful. For the same reasons that gathering resources while you can is helpful, exploring will pay off in the future, so there's no reason not to slow down a bit.

6 Activate Warp Spires, Even If You're Just ing Through

It's Free Diamonds, Plus Easier Travel Later On

Activating a warp spire to get free diamonds in Infinity Nikki

Warp Spires are Infinity Nikki's version of fast-travel points, making traversal of Miraland's regions much easier. If you have veered off course exploring, keep an eye out for any Warp Spires you can activate quickly. You'll net yourself 20 Diamonds in the process, plus make it easier to return here later.

Besides Warp Spires, you can also get free gems from all active codes in Infinity Nikki.

Many of the Warp Spires in the game are near quest objectives, so even if you don't need to be in a location now, the odds are high that you'll be coming back eventually. Having the Warp Spire unlocked means you don't have to waste time running around when you want to get a quest done. You can also take a moment to head to the Exchange World to trade in resources you don't need for other materials or Bling.

5 Instead Of Jumping Up, Glide Down

Sometimes You Have To Take The Long Way

Nikki Jumping up to a rooftop in Infinity Nikki

Despite how useful jumping is in Infinity Nikki, there are just some ledges you need help to jump up to. This tip also applies if you're having trouble getting up onto something a bit higher up. Instead of wasting your time and getting frustrated with the game's jumping mechanic, find a way around it.

There are often cliffs, buildings, or other structures that can provide you with some high ground to jump off of. If you're lucky, you can even find catapults to ground-pound and then launch you into the air. If you can find high ground, floating is so much easier than trying to bother with high jumping up.

4 Jump Slam To Take Care Of Groups Of Enemies

You Can Only Purify One At A Time Unless You Slam

Jump slamming in Infinity Nikki

This is covered in the game tutorial, but it is worth repeating that you can clear groups of enemies by jumping and pressing "Q" (on PC, anyway.) This will allow you to clear an area around you from enemies while also taking them out, so if you find yourself cornered by some baddies, take advantage of this tip. There's no fall damage in this game, so slamming doesn't matter when falling off stuff.

As mentioned above, you can use slam in one more way. You can use it to interact with the catapults around Miraland. Slam on the higher side, and then the box on the other side will fall to boost you up into the air, allowing you to float to wherever you need to go next, whether that be treasure or a higher vantage point.

3 Follow The Bling

Not Sure How To Reach A Whimstar? There's Usually A Trail

A house with a trail of Bling on it in Infinity Nikki

Infold's very kind-level designers have left breadcrumbs for certain locations in the game in the form of Bling floating around. There are chests and other goodies all over the place, and you can usually find them by following the paths of Bling. Can't find your way up a building? Odds are high that the ledge with Bling on it is low enough to be jumped to.

Sometimes, the Bling trails lead to chests, which can give gems and boost the free-to-play experience.

2 Keep An Eye Out For Whimstars

If You Can't Find Them, Momo Can

Whimstars are necessary for making and upgrading your outfits, so finding as many as possible is pretty important. Thankfully, Momo lets you know when there's one nearby, and all you have to do is find it. Pay attention to your furry friend as you explore.

There are a few types of Whimstars, and they're all pretty easy to grab once you find them, except one type. The only type that is a pain asks you to find a star shape somewhere within the Whimstar's vicinity, and unfortunately, Momo can't help you with this one. Often, the star is small and out of the way, so it's up to your eye for detail to find it and collect the Whimstar.

1 Mark Things To Find Again Later

If Now's Not The Time, Come Back Later

Marking a spot on the map in Infinity Nikki

If you find yourself on an important quest when Momo suddenly stops you for a Whimstar, you have a choice to make. Do you derail your quest for this treasure hunt or ignore the Whimstar and hope you it later? Thanks to the map markers, you don't have to choose.

In Infinity Nikki, you can make custom markers for any location on the map that you might need. This lets you put a point on the Whimstar and return to grab it at a more convenient time. It's quick and simple and lets you ensure you get everything hidden in all the corners of Miraland.
