Crunchyroll has announced that Kaiju No. 8 will be streamed live on the platform at the same time as the Japanese broadcast on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. Japanese Standard Time (JST), which is 7:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), 9:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time (CDT), 10:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), and 3:00 p.m. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The episodes will also be available only on Crunchyroll after the live broadcast.

While there has already been plenty of excitement surrounding Kaiju No. 8's eventual release, Crunchyroll's new streaming announcement makes it the first of its kind to receive a premier on such a grand scale in the history of the platform. While the anime was initially met with skepticism, mainly due to the animation, the release of the full trailer quickly put any doubts to rest as fans were assured Kaiju no. 8 would live up to expectations and then some more, and the new streaming announcement further proves Crunchyroll believes the series will be a massive hit.

The decision to release the dub at the same time also comes as another first for the series which is set to be dubbed not only in English but also in Latin American Spanish, Castilian Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, ensuring fans around the world will be able to watch and enjoy Kaiju no. 8 at their leisure.
