The Paramount+ original series Mayor of Kingstown has thrilled audiences across three seasons thus far, and the Jeremy Renner-led program will return for season 4. Created for the screen by Yellowstone maven Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, Mayor of Kingstown is set in a fictional city that exists to the nearby prison. Mike McLusky (Renner) is tasked with keeping the peace among various factions within the town including gangs and the local police force. Touching on hot-button topics like racism and corruption, Mayor of Kingstown is a no-holds-barred look at the prison industrial complex in the United States.

The third season upped the ante by introducing a new faction onto the troubled streets of Kingstown, and Mike must take matters into his own hands to face off against the Russian mafia. The third season of Mayor of Kingstown is something of a miraculous return for the MCU star Renner, who suffered a life-threatening injury in 2023 that saw him hospitalized for an extended period. Fortunately, Renner has since recovered and is back to carry the popular series into the future, and even into season 4.

Will Jeremy Renner Return?

The return of Jeremy Renner in the cast of Mayor of Kingstown season 3 was a welcome sight for fans, and the celebrated MCU alum has since recovered from a life-threatening injury he suffered in 2023. With that in mind, Renner is an almost certainty to return for Mayor of Kingstown season 4, even if the rest of the ensemble is a bit more expendable. The shocking deaths of Iris (played by Emma Laird), Kareem (Michael Beach), and Milo (Aidan Gillen) significantly thinned the ing cast, and season 4 may add a few new characters to compensate.

The first new cast member came in the form of Mayans M.C. alum Clayton Cardenas, who will play the recurring role of Deputy Warden Torres.
