Warning: Major spoilers ahead for episode 9 of MobLandthe mysterious Kat McAllister on his head.

Harry's skills as a fixer and gunman are undoubtedly in high demand, and after watching him single-handedly take out the foot soldiers of an entire drug operation in his pursuit of Brendan and Seraphina in Antwerp, it seems like a true waste that he's working for a has-been drug lord like Conrad Harrigan. His favors to Kat McAllister will almost certainly involve him using his skills for her benefit, but it might not be the dreadful outcome it's being treated as. Harry's interaction with Jaime Lopez at the sit-down indicates that Harry could already have one foot out the door.

Jaime Was Probably Right About Harry Wanting To Leave The Harrigans - But How Did He Know?

Jaime May Have Inside Information

Jordi Mollá as Jaime Lopez in MobLand

After clarifying with Harry that he was completely alone when he took out the entire building full of Moroccan gang in Antwerp, Jaime leaves the meeting with a stinger directed at Harry: "No wonder Kat wants you. And no wonder you want to leave." We already knew that Harry had some sort of past with Kat, and that she approached him two years before the events of MobLand about working for her instead of Conrad. However, as Harry laid out to Conrad, he is incredibly loyal, and isn't willing to simply change employers based on a job offer.

The season finale of MobLand will be available to stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, June 1st.

At this point, it's pretty clear that Harry wants out of the Harrigan organization. As smart as he is, Harry knows that Conrad and Maeve are on a path that leads to either death or a jail cell. Harry is visibly frustrated with Conrad's behavior during the sit-down with Jaime, and it's implied that someone told him definitively that Harry wants out.

However, Richie also seems to be acutely aware that Harry wants out of the Harrigan organization, and, as he tells Colin Tattersall, the reason is because "he has eyes". The question is now whether somebody with direct knowledge of Harry's desire to leave the Harrigans let that information out to Richie, Kat, or Jaime, or if they are all simply operating under that assumption because it's so obvious that he would be.

Is There A Way Out For Harry?

The End Of Episode 9 Could Point To An Exit

With Conrad and Maeve arrested, the door seems to be open for Harry to make an escape from the Harrigans once and for all. It remains to be seen if they manage to get out of police custody either through legal or illegal means, but with the organization ready to unravel, Conrad may not have the wherewithal or the resources to actually follow through on his threat to kill Harry out of spite and vengeance. If the Harrigan empire collapses entirely or if Conrad and Maeve wind up dead, then Harry has a definitive way out.

However, he may not be able to escape the lifestyle that he's lived in for so long. Getting away from the Harrigans likely means finding safe haven as a fixer or soldier for someone else, whether it's Richie Stevenson or someone far more powerful like Jaime Lopez or Kat McAllister. No matter how the end of the first season of MobLand shakes out, it seems like Harry is not long for his job as the Harrigans' fixer.
