Nioh 2 players are used to larger than life enemies and bosses. That being said, most are blindsided by just how massive this horrifying boss is. Daidara Bocci looms over the entire town like a beast out of a Godzilla movie, shooting blasts of lightning down at you as you attempt to escape. When players finally meet this creature face to face, the fight is spectacular.
Daidara Bocci isn't the hardest fight in the game, but is one of two fights that require a specific strategy to overcome. This fight may take quite a few tries because the boss is able to take out the player with one specifically powerful move that comes out of nowhere. Players should be prepared for the fight of their lives. Here's how to beat Daidara Bocci in Nioh 2.
Preparing To Fight Daidara Bocci in Nioh 2
Daidara Bocci is a boss that can be deeply unpredictable. Players of a lower level than is recommended may find this fight difficult, not because they don't have the skill, but because the fight will take too long otherwise. A rule of thumb is to make this fight go as quickly as possible. For most players, this isn't a matter of if the boss will defeat them, it is when. Build your character as much as possible and bring the highest level of weaponry that can be found. The boss seems to be weak to everything except for lightning damage, so buff your weapons whenever possible.
Defeating Daidara Bocci in Nioh 2
When players first enter the fight, the boss will immediately try to shoot them with a ball of lightning. Pay attention, and dodge it right before impact. Higher-level players may be able to block this if need be, but it will all but deplete their stamina. From here, head directly over to one of the boss's hands and start attacking the fingers. For this fight, players may be fooled into thinking that they need to break all of the fingers on one hand before the boss will go down for a major attack. In actuality, the boss tracks total damage done to the fingers regardless of how many are intact and on which hand. Strike at whichever hand is closest.
When the boss fires lasers from its eyes, tuck yourself as deep into the corner as possible. The player will need to be at the boss's wrist to avoid the damage altogether. From here, players with longer weapons should be able to get some hits in on the fingers. The boss will also reach down to grab rocks from the earth. Burst Counter the hand as it rises to avoid this.
There is one large attack that the boss will attempt. This involves scratching the ground and sending multiple streams of energy at the player from multiple angles. This attack is nearly impossible to do 100% of the time. The best plan is to try and stay near the edges of the boss's range when this happens. For most attacks, players can avoid too much damage by standing on either side of the field.
