Instrumental Wonders is the latest event in Pokémon GO, featuring a new Gigantamax Pokémon as a raid boss alongside several other special encounters. During this event, you can try to catch a variety of featured Pokémon and participate in unique raids to build their ever-growing collection of powerful pocket monsters. Different Research can also be completed throughout the event to earn various rewards for completing missions.
As the second of four unique events for June 2025, Instrumental Wonders is a free-to-play event that lasts for a limited time. When this event starts, special bonuses will become available to all players, unlocking different opportunities to capture rare Pokémon or earn exclusive items. If the previous Delightful Days event in Pokémon GO is anything to go by, there will be plenty for you to explore.

Understand How Much Time You Have To Participate In The Event
The Instrumental Wonders event starts on June 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time and lasts until June 11, 2025, at 8:00 PM local time. This gives you around five days to participate in the event, roughly from Saturday, when it starts, to the Wednesday of the following week. With nearly a half-week to discover all the content the event has to offer, you should be able to see a little bit of everything.

All Ditto Disguises In Pokémon GO (June 2025)
Ditto remains one of the hardest Pokémon to capture in Pokémon GO, but you can use three items this month to increase your chances of finding one.
With the event starting, you'll get access to several in-game bonuses, including:
- An additional 5,000 XP is rewarded from successful raids.
- 8x more Max Particles awarded from Power Spots.
- Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600.
- Increased chance of encountering specific Shiny Pokémon.
These bonuses are not tied to the specific content in Instrumental Wonders, but they do alter the game while the event is going on. These bonuses apply during recurring event content too, such as Max Monday battles or facing off against Team Rocket leaders in Pokémon GO.
All Wild Spawns & Debuts During The Instrumental Wonders Event
Face A New Variant And Discover Certain Pokémon More Often
Some Pokémon appear more through wild encounters while Instrumental Wonders lasts, giving you ways to collect creatures who are usually unavailable. Traveling to Poké Stops will yield the highest population of these featured Pokémon, but some can also be found through the completion of Field Research tasks. Paying for exclusive Timed Research will also earn you chance encounters with Pokémon from the event.
Here is each of the Pokémon who spawn more frequently throughout the Instrumental Wonders event:
- Meowth
- Hoppip
- Ferroseed
- Galarian Stunfisk
- Golett
- Tadbulb
- Beldum
- Chimecho
- Falinks
Beldum, Chimecho, and Falinks appear at an even lower spawn rate than the other Pokémon featured in the event. Each Pokémon has a chance to be encountered as a Shiny variant, with increased Shiny odds in Pokémon GO while Instrumental Wonders lasts. You may only have this chance to collect rare Shiny Pokémon from this event, so you may have to act fast before they disappear.
To encounter some of the Instrumental Wonders event Pokémon more often, try completing event-specific tasks offered through free Special Research. Finishing Research will give you a higher chance of finding the event's rarest Pokémon.
Only one Pokémon outside the wild encounters is debuting in Pokémon GO - Gigantamax Cinderace. This Gigantamax version of Scorbunny's final evolution only appears as a 6-Star Max Battle, where a team of four trainers all using Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon can challenge it. You'll have to collect enough Max Particles to face this Pokémon and capture it for yourself.
All Pokémon Raid Bosses During The Instrumental Wonders Event
Challenge Event Pokémon In Unique Battle Encounters
Some of the featured wild Pokémon during Instrumental Wonders also appear as special Raid Bosses you can challenge. Defeating these Pokémon unlocks an encounter with them, allowing you to capture them as you would when they spawn in the wild. However, Raid Boss Pokémon found in the event are far stronger, giving you great creatures to catch and train for other battle scenarios.
Some of the Pokémon featured in Instrumental Wonders, such as Beldum, are very strong when evolved into their final forms. Pokémon like Metagross and Ferrothorn from Beldum and Ferroseed are great for the Master League in Pokémon GO, especially when evolved from Raid Boss variants.
The following table has all the Raid Bosses from the Instrumental Wonders event, including their Star difficulty and what types they are weak to for trainers looking to defeat them quickly:
Raid Boss Pokémon |
Type |
Weaknesses |
Difficulty |
---|---|---|---|
Meowth |
Normal |
Fighting |
1-Star |
Beldum |
Steel/Psychic |
Dark, Fire, Ghost, Ground |
1-Star |
Ferroseed |
Grass/Steel |
Fire, Fighting |
1-Star |
Galarian Stunfisk |
Ground/Steel |
Fighting, Fire, Water, Ground |
3-Star |
Falinks |
Fighting |
Fairy, Flying, Psychic |
3-Star |
Gigantamax Cinderace |
Fire |
Ground, Rock, Water |
6-Star |
Similar to the wild encounters, every Raid Boss besides Gigantamax Cinderace could be Shiny. Farming Candy from any of the Raid Bosses will help you evolve them faster, so hunting for Shiny variants will also allow you to stockpile evolutionary resources to make the bosses you catch even stronger.
All Instrumental Wonders Rewards
Earn More Opportunities To Catch The Event's Rarest Pokémon
When you complete Field Research or Paid Research, you unlock more encounter chances with featured Pokémon from the Instrumental Wonders event. Field Research is free-to-play, with anyone able to start completing unique event tasks right away. Some of these may include catching a certain Pokémon a number of times, defeating a Raid Boss, visiting enough Poké Stops as you play, or some other goal.

Pokémon Go Is Making A Major Change For Those Playing The Game From Home
Weeks after Pokémon GO was sold to Scopely for $3.5 billion, the developers will be increasing the Remote Raid limit, so you can play more from home.
When you complete Field Research, you'll have more encounters with the following Pokémon, who, once again, all have a chance to be Shiny:
- Ferroseed
- Falinks
- Chimecho
- Meowth
Spending real-world money (around $1.99 USD) to participate in Paid Research will give you more tasks for additional encounters. Paid Research gives you more encounters with Ferroseed and Falinks, two of the rarest Pokémon seen during Instrumental Wonders. At the same time, you can also earn five Battle es through Paid Research, which may interest some players.
Paid Research is also Timed, meaning you only have a certain window within the event to complete it. In contrast, free Field Research has no time limit, allowing you to earn all the rewards from the Instrumental Wonders event in Pokémon GO at your own pace before the festivities end.
