See AllThis Classic 1962 Western Was The Best & Worst Of John Wayne & John Ford's Movie Partnership
I prefer Wayne in The Searchers.
Also Hawks got a decent performance from Wayne in Red River, Rio Bravo & El Dorado.
Some of Ford's stuff creeks now such as Donovan's Reef or even The Quiet Man.
I don't think his reputation has lasted as well as Hawks.
I Just Realized X-Men In Avengers: Doomsday Creates A Really Weird MCU Problem
Not sure why the author is getting his knickers in a twist considering X-men first class time-jumped 10years & no one batted an eye lid.
It's clear MCU will end with Battleworld & a cherry pick of actors to carry on.
So This Is Why Marvel Waited To Reveal Reed Richards' Mister Fantastic Superpowers In The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Lee & Kirby avoided the usual pitfalls of having a guy with stretching powers & not making it look goofy.
The standard before Reed was Plastic man who was played for laughs with stretching neck or other weird cartoony effects.
Kirby avoided this & used Reed with body stretching or li bs but never as idiotic.
Agree the multiverse has been misused, with this universe peeking into other universes. FF is the first film fully set in an alternative universe & I think this will continue in Avengers Doomsday with the X-men universe.
One other thing - Marvel has played cheap by using their actors as their multiverse alternatives, I would have loved to see Tom Cruise as an alternative Iron Man, Matt Damon as an alternative Capt America or Ralph Fiennes as Dr Strange - missed opportunity.
The Marvels is finally about to get the respect it deserves as it becomes The Multiverse Saga's most important movie.
After the success of the first film, not sure why they had to give her these costar from TV.
It seriously took the focus from Capt Marvel herself.
You had to know the tv shows to appreciate the other leads - too ground in the MCU.
As for the singing planet - a lame idea James Gunn probably rejected.
Villain was pants too.
A mixed up mess which was rightly ignored.
Daredevil: Born Again Episode 8 Review - I Was Shocked By Bullseye's Return & Even More Excited For The Finale After That Game-Changing Foggy Reveal
Excellent episode - I thought Heather would get it saving Vanessa.
Nearly right:)
Not sure how much action next week if Matt is stuck in hospital - wonder if the Punisher shows up; ooooh, him & Bullseye would be an insane match-up.
Also wonder if Karen comes back too - Heather & Matt are on the skids, time for the old BBF to make a come back.
Daredevil: Born Again Episodes 5 & 6 Review - I Was Thrilled To Finally See Charlie Cox Back In The Daredevil Suit Fighting Muse
Heavy handed - & a bit pointless.
This relentless seeding of the MCU is getting tired.
Can't imagine two more divergent heroes - dark, brooding hardcore vigilante teams up with happy-clappy bubbly teenage girl.
These cameos work in comics where inconsistent tone is irrelevant but in TV & film it matters.
