See AllI'm Disappointed James Gunn's DC Universe Seems To Be Wasting An Iconic Superman Villain Again
Just because Metallo isn't in the first movie it doesn't mean he's being wasted. Also, any villain that goes up against Superman and gets defeated all feel humiliated in some way, though being a cyborg, I doubt very much that Metallo feels humiliation. I'm defiantly not putting Metallo out of the running to be in a future Superman movie, we just have to wait and see.
Supergirl's Secret Role In Superman Revealed By DC Villain Theory That Sounds A Lot Like Something James Gunn Would Do
It does make sense but I think it might be too much for the movie considering Mr Terrific, Hawkgirl, Guy Gardner and Metamorpho are also in the movie. I have to be honest, never in my life did I ever expect to see Metamorpho in a Superman movie or any movie for that matter, nor did I expect to ever see Superman fight a gigantic fire breathing dinosaur/lizard (or whatever it is) either in a movie. Having said that I guess anything is possible.
James Gunn's Superman Being "Weak" Fixes A Decades-Old Complaint About The Man Of Steel
There's no such thing as a weak Superman (putting the Kryptonite factor aside) what makes a Superman a Superman? The fact that he gets his butt kicked gets a few cuts and bruises, stops to catch his breath from time to time, gets knocked out cold for a few minutes, but he always gets back up, that's a Superman.
Superman's Latest Casting Shows James Gunn Is Fixing Two Major Man of Steel Criticisms
Without sounding like a "nark", people really need to stop comparing Richard Donner's Superman to Zack Snyder's Superman and how James Gunn is going to fix mistakes with his take on Superman. Superman 1 & 2 were made for the era they were made in (and very sugar coated for a PG rating to get backsides in cinema seats.) Zack Snyders Superman is a Superman for the 21st century, world affairs are entirely different and somewhat more violent with technical advances, weaponry. If anything I find Snyders Superman to be more realistic than Donner's Superman. Warners were hoping for a Superman saving cats from trees who pats kids on the heads making some cheesy statement before flying off into the sunset, also WB don't even fully understand Superman as a "Product" and really didn't know how to promote MOS & BVS properly and took the easy way out blaming Snyder for the movies shortfalls and constantly delaying a MOS sequel thus not giving Superman a chance to grow. I just hope that Gunns take on Superman isn't a Marvel movie with DC characters BUT I'm holding on to my optimisim that Gunn won't be that blatently obvious with his Superman.
