We adjudicated alot more as DMs in the '80s and '90s. Plus, I think we had a greater appreciation for what roleplaying actually is back then. Our settings had prejudice, sexism, racism, and many other things included so you could practice walking a few hundred miles in someone else's shoes, and get a feeling for what that's like. Roleplaying made us better people because we got a lot of practice. That used to be a feature, but judgemental new players called it out as an anachronistic bug because they don't get it. It's trendy to examine D&D like it's the dang Antikythera mechanism, but new players would do better by examining themselves a bit closer.

No, I can't say as I agree much with your list. I think you're approaching this concept from an outsiders perspective, not unlike Disney's Star Wars projects. Your writing doesn't convey experience with, nor insight into D&D itself or our community.
