It's been one week since Billie Piper's unexpected return to Doctor Who, but when will the show confirm season 16?

Regardless of whether Billie Piper is the new Doctor or not, I need Doctor Who to announce something about the next season. The fate of the show is up in the air, which is a strange experience, considering Doctor Who has regularly carried on since it returned to screens in 2005. I'm concerned about the show's future, honestly, and I really hope that there will be some sort of confirmation soon, especially after that shock of a cliffhanger.

What's an underrated sitcom barely anyone talks about?

I'm a big fan of sitcoms and comedy TV shows in general, but I'm always surprised about how many are unknown to others. For example, I thought Superstore was a huge hit, but it turns out that not many people have heard of it, weirdly. One sitcom I love recommending to others that is completely underrated is the Matt Berry show Toasts of London. It's a British sitcom from the early 2010s (but it feels older). If you ever get the chance to watch it, you should.

Which TV show will change your life?

Broadcast media is a funny thing, and it's interesting which TV shows stick with us and which don't. Of course, everyone is different, and not every TV show will have the same impact on all of us. For example, Fleabag also taught me a huge amount about mental health. Doctor Who changed my life as a child, and it's what made me want to become a writer. While I might not agree with other people's choices, I'd love to know which TV shows changed your life, and why.

Which rewatchable and binge-worthy sitcoms should always be started from a different episode, other than the pilot?

I will happily binge my favorite sitcoms over and over again, but there are some that I'll skip the first episode of, and start rewatching from another point. For me, there are two core shows I always do this with. For It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, I always start rewatching from when Frank Reynolds s, and with Parks and Recreation, I do the same, but from when Ben and Chris arrive. I often skip the first few episodes of The Office, too, just as season 1 is so similar to the UK version, and I've seen it so many times.

Which movie do you love to recommend to people, even though the premise is completely bonkers?

Many of us know of a movie that we know is brilliant, or perhaps isn't and is worth recommending anyway, but we hesitate to do so because the film's premise is so bonkers that you worry you'll put them off. For me, it's a film called Womb, which stars Matt Smith before he was the Doctor. Smith's character dies, and his childhood friend/girlfriend grows and births his clone, raising him as her child. It's a strange concept, but an amazing movie.

Five years later, which COVID movie perfectly encapsulates the pandemic?

During the pandemic and after, I found it too hard to watch movies about it. COVID was a tough time, but I've recently been checking out some of these titles. The Bubble was the only one I saw at the time, mainly because of Karen Gillan, and I thought that was fascinating. I just checked out Dumb Money, and I thought it was brilliant how they implemented songs that went viral on TikTok during the pandemic. It was eerie and gave me déjà vu, brilliantly.

Should Lisa Kudrow's cult classic, The Comeback, return for season 3?

The Comeback is a fascinating study of reality TV and an all-round hilarious TV show starring Lisa Kudrow that debuted in 2005 and ran for only two seasons. However, in recent years, more and more people have discovered the show. Variety recently asked Kudrow about the possibility of The Comeback season 3, and she said that there is often discussion between her and the show's creator about doing it. I think the show could be a lot more successful nowadays, but at the same time, I never need a justification for more Lisa Kudrow on my screen.

Should other consoles allow players to swap the A and B buttons like the Nintendo Switch 2?

Apparently there was an option on the original Switch to change the A and B buttons, but on the Nintendo Switch 2, this feature is much more prominent. Considering console players' muscle memory often causes them to press the wrong button when going from the Xbox or Playstation to a Nintendo product, this is great. I've said it before, but I think button remapping on both consoles and PC needs to be more accessible. While this is only a small feat, it's still a good one.

Richard Kind is everywhere, but what is your favorite role of his?

I read an article from Variety today about how Richard Kind has starred in what feels like every project known to man, and funnily enough, I happened to be watching one of the episodes of Scrubs he was in last night. The actor has appeared in everything, from Curb Your Enthusiasm to the recent Everybody's Live with John Mulaney. I personally love him as the voice of Marty Glouberman in Big Mouth, and funnily enough, his character is the father of John Mulaney's, too.

It's Nintendo Switch 2 launch day, which game will you be playing first?

After years of waiting patiently, the Nintendo Switch 2 is finally here! I think a lot of players will naturally be playing Mario Kart World, but that isn't the only title releasing on launch day, and there are some great and long-awaited ports also coming out today. While there are some interesting new games to check out, I'm also intrigued to hear what players think of the Nintendo Switch 2 versions of preexisting games, like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, for example.

Which TV show was saved by its series finale?

There are some shows that, regardless of whether their decline in quality happened gradually or very suddenly towards the end, are ultimately saved by their series finale. For example, many believe Parks and Recreation's finale saved it. I thought the show was stellar from start to finish, personally, but I agree that the finale is absolutely brilliant. I like the later seasons of The Office, but I agree they weren't as strong as the earlier installments, but the finale is undoubtedly one of the best sitcom episodes ever.

So is Billie Piper the 16th Doctor, the Bad Wolf, or someone else in Doctor Who?

It's hard to ignore the fact that in the credits of Doctor Who's "The Reality War," it just says "Introducing Billie Piper," and doesn't explicitly state who she's playing. While it seems obvious she is the Doctor, considering one minute Ncuti Gatwa was standing there and the next Billie Piper appeared, there's a good chance she could be the Bad Wolf again. Perhaps she's even the Moment, like in the 50th anniversary special, instead. I hope there's more to it than her just being the Doctor, though.

Is Ritchie Akingbola a persona of the Fifteenth Doctor in Doctor Who and Belinda doesn't realize?

At the end of "The Reality War," Belinda tells the Doctor that Poppy's father is her ex-boyfriend, Ritchie Akingbola. The Doctor confirms Poppy is 100% human, but Doctor Who doesn't imply that she is no longer his daughter, either, so I'm a bit confused. I'm wondering if Ritchie is a human alter ego of the Doctor's, like John Smith, and the memory of him has been blurred in Belinda's mind, so she doesn't realize they're the same person. I really hope Russell T Davies eventually clarifies this, but I have a feeling he won't.

Why did Mary lie about her devotion to Missy in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage season 1 finale?

I understand that parenting is hard, especially when one child has different needs than the others, but I'm confused by Mary's remark about devoting herself to both Sheldon and Missy in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage's season 1 finale. I'm not saying she was a terrible or even absent mother in Young Sheldon, but she undoubtedly poured all of her attention and energy into Sheldon. The whole Professor Proton poster scene alone proves this, and even though Missy is rebellious, Mary is quick to jump down her throat and has little empathy for her only daughter at times.

What hilarious new physical comedy scenes from Bryan Cranston's Hal will we see in the Malcolm in the Middle revival?

The director of the revival of Malcolm in the Middle, Ken Kwapis, recently spoke with ScreenRant and mentioned how excited he was to remind audiences of how fantastic Bryan Cranston's physical comedy skills. Cranston's Hal had loads of brilliant scenes in the show's original run that allowed him to show off his prowess, and I can't wait for more. Seeing as we know Hal and Lois are grandparents now, I'd love to see a scene in which Hal struggles to keep up with his grandchild, who will hopefully be even more unruly than their father and his siblings.

Was The Witcher 4's tech demo cinematic impressive?

I thought The Witcher 4's tech demo, which has just been released today and is available to watch on IGN's YouTube channel, looked pretty good. I'm always a little hesitant when it comes to cinematic reveals of games, especially as it's staged and doesn't really represent actual gameplay. However, at least we know that the game's cinematic scenes will look great. The Witcher 3 is a classic title and a personal favorite of mine, and considering the success of the Netflix show, it's about time we got another game in The Witcher series.

Was The Leftovers season 1 too dark?

Damon Lindelof, co-creator of The Leftovers, recently acknowledged that season 1 of the show perhaps wasn't as accessible as it could be for viewers. The first season is rather dark and gorey, so I can understand why some find it a challenging watch. He referenced the season 1 episode "Gladys," which is a particular favorite of mine, particularly when Gladys is stoned to death. It's definitely gripping, but yes, a bit too much at times. However, I think it suits the tone of the show well, and there are plenty of other shows that go way darker, in my opinion.

What is your favorite moment from Jonathan Joss' Ken Hotate in Parks and Recreation?

I was gutted to learn this morning that Jonathan Joss, who played Ken Hotate in Parks and Recreation and voiced John Redcorn in King of the Hill, has ed away. I loved Joss as Hotate in Parks and Recreation, and he was truly a brilliant addition to the cast and an underrated ing character. My favorite moment of his was when Hotate accused Ann of being racist when she offered him water, and he asked, "Like firewater?" The little smile he offered before explaining he was messing with her was stellar.

What was Ncuti Gatwa's best moment as the Fifteenth Doctor in Doctor Who?

I'm very sad that Ncuti Gatwa has left Doctor Who as the Fifteenth Doctor. I thought they were stellar and was hoping for more time. I loved it when he'd call villains babes, and his sense of humor was brilliant, but the one moment that sticks in my mind was when the Doctor cried at the end of "Dot and Bubble." That was actually the first scene Ncuti shot as the Doctor, I believe, which makes this moment even more impactful.

Which ambiguous TV show ending really needs some clarification?

Sometimes, an ambiguous ending to a TV show can be a good or bad thing. Sometimes it's good when a show wraps up without a definitive answer, but it can also be incredibly annoying. Regardless, there are some that we all want answers to. For me, it's Tony's fate in The Sopranos. The screen cuts to blank, and even though it's implied he was killed, it's also just as possible that he wasn't and it was suicide or just an injury.
