I like the lighter tone shown and brighter color palette in these previews, and I love the fortress with robots, Krypto, and so on, but unless magic or kryptonite is involved, they have gone too far in weakening the powers of this iconic character in my opinion.

The trick with writing Superman stories is to give him moral challenges and asymmetric foes he needs to outsmart with a wink and smile, not punch. Occasionally, when the very heaviest hitters of the entire DC Universe come into the picture, he has a physical challenge and we get our big action set-piece battles, but making him weaker is just a lazy way to write more action scenes without having to develop special situations or opponents or make the character do anything remotely clever.
