To different from the books for my liking, the biggest accomplishment of this show from my perspective is to divide the fandom. GoT remmain as close to source material as it could while it could, they only deviated in meaningful ways when source material was ending. With WoT they had the entire source material, they could have adapted it faithfully, but nooooo, they had to complain about not having enough time to adapt the books and yet they manage to find time to add stupid stories and fanfictions give hours to characters that barely have any importance at all in the books/story.

That's ignoring all the changes they made because w/e stupid reason, like sidelining Rand the MC, giving Egweing overwhelming healing powers instead of Nyneabe, i mean she can heal dead? you kidding? what about that time when Rand tried to bring back a child and Morraine chastize him for it? at best you could create a Gray Man, but not in the show. Different telling of the wheel? more like square pretending to be a wheel.

That's not to mention how they completely and totally butcher fan favorite Matt.
