See All“Nobody Really Cared”: Walter Koenig Says He Took A Break From Star Trek: The Original Series In Season 3
Hindsight is 20/20. Were there other shows which utilized ing actors the way Star Trek? Or, were the ing cast one small notch above background extras? However the case may be, they were ground breaking characters in the sense that they were presented as a cultural mix of our planet and, therefore, should have been more than eye candy. The ing cast should not have been attempting to ride the coattails of the leading actors, as Koenig had said on Shatner’s Raw Talk. It was a dog-eat-dog time, and continues to be today. The characters carried on in science fiction, novelizations, movies, etc., but that does little for the actor. However, for what it is worth, I appreciate the ing actors, extras and all the little people that made Star Trek, Star Trek, you aren't little to me! Though you can’t cash my sentiments at the bank, but you can cache that in your heart.

That's what we are going for, now-a-days...and I absolutely hate it. 20 or more episodes was not just what they did in the 60s, either. This has got to stop because I can't hardly what last season's mini-series's were about!

Booo...BOOOOOO! Enough with cinematic so-called "mimi-series" crap! I can't what the hell happened in the last season and I damn well don't have time in my life to recap. What happened to the good old days of 20+ shows in a season, eh? I don't care about all the effects, either. I'd rather have good characters and a great story than a 10 hour long feature movie and then wait more than a year (or pretty darn close to it) for more!
