So I just completed the season and I found it utterly infuriating. Dante is ignorantly stupid throughout the entire story. Mary betrayed him almost every opportunity she had and he went along with it. To make matters worse I almost believed we would see some amount of character development but we didn't. Mary is an extremely flawed protagonist and Dante lacked his badass charisma and charm throughout. The best part was the sprinkle of music from of my favorite bands of the early and mid 2000's and the fun Capcom throwbacks but man did the story suck.

It's a real shame too because despite my criticisms they were close to giving the fans something that they would have enjoyed but to fall short with the primary protagonist so severely ruins any hopes.

Netflix continues to ruin some of my favorite stories.

Cowboy Bebop and the Witcher both come to mind real shame to add Devil May Cry to the list.
