I'm hoping he's playing a 'villain" it's nice to see the contrast he's a great actor and he's capable of playing a role several different ways, so why not give him a bit of a challenge and I'm COMPLETELY sure he'd relish the chance to be challenged by a role.

I always thought it was the old lady who told Anakin etc to go home quickly because the sandstorm was going to be bad, "yes" I'm well aware she was old already when Anakin was a boy, but it's Star Wars so she doesn't necessarily have to be human, it would be interesting if she'd been there all three times. Maybe she's a force representing the force as it watches the Skywalker saga play out, probably not, but it's an interesting rabbit hole.

Or just maybe it being a sith item on display for all the "great and good" gave him a thrill? It's a blatant thing to do and definitely rubbing people's faces in it without them realising. He can watch them ire it and laugh at the fact that both it and he can be at the centre of everything and go truly unknown. Especially to the Jedi I'd imagine. It's just another way to amuse himself at the he expense of everybody else.
