Many people don't realize but HBO was planning on Wheel of Time before Game of thrones but the author died putting it in hiatus so HBO had to shop around for another series eventually settling on GOT.

You can thank last Jedi for that. Solo wasn't bad. Definitely better than the sequel trilogy but since it came out right after the worst star wars movie made. People hesitated to watch it.
