I didnt play the last of us part 2. But I still understand why she deserved so much hate in the TV show. Saying her rage is "justified" doesn't mean that everyone should suddenly feel better about her, or her actions. People will always say their actions were justified when they go to court for whatever they did. But being justified doesn't mean they didn't break the law.

Parzival, did you read the storyline where she became the Herald of Galactus? Because I've been searching all morning and couldn't find any reference to her becoming the actual Silver Surfer. There is the story where of course she starts off as Norman Radds girlfriend. Then she is abducted by Memphis to and Marries Dr Doom. Then then get imbued with a small frament of The Power Cosmic. But she is not the Silver Surfer at that point.

But I do it, that in 1982, there is an issue of "What If" where the Silver surfer realizes there is a need for Galactus, and Franklin Richard's, becomes a new itteration of Galactus, then makes Shalla-Bal a Herald. She took on the moniker "Star Glow." Not Silver Surfer. And that was not a canon storyline. There is supposedly another story from an "Alternative Universe and Timeline" where she becomes the Silver Surfer. But nobody proves any issue number, what Comic book it takes place in. Or who actually makes her the Silver Surfer. Ever site I have seen that has a story, says it was "EITHER" Galactus, or Norrin Radd (they can't even say who made her the Silver surfer)

So if the MCU decided to tell an origin story as a sort of "SubPlot" in the FF movie, that would make sense to introduce Shalla-Bal, as she was the empress of the planet where Norrin Radd is from, and how he became the Silver Surfer to save that planet. That would be great. And it could lead to her being in more storyline and movies.

But just making her the Silver Surfer, is an excuse for a gender swap.
