Exactly! None of the powers we saw used in the sequels are new, some have been around for decades. Fake fans complaining about Leia using the force like she wouldn't be the 1st person Luke would've trained.

I've have never understood the hate for that scene. Leia used the force and people lost their minds. Think about it. Who would Luke train first? Some random stranger that he would've had to spend time searching for. Or his sister, daughter to the Chosen One, who is right there? Duh.... Also force bubbles and tell regulation have been around in Star Wars since before the prequels. Just like powers like Psychmetry and force Healing.

In the Old Expanded universe it was Vader himself that hunted down the jedi. Even after episode 3 there were still books and comics being released where Vader took down individual and even groups of Jedi single handedly. So what Obi-Wan said was true. From the point of view of the EU and those that have read the stories.

What the inquisitorious does do though is bridge the gap for those that did not read or even know about the EU stories. While I do prefer the EU. I do think it is a smart move have a group dedicated to hunting Jedi, and I did enjoy watching them in Rebels and fighting them in the Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor.
