I suspect the hope has been that WB will settle quickly to get the lawsuit to go away so as not to potentially interfere with the release. Doesn't seem to be working out that way for the plaintiffs.

Complete speculation my part, but I figure Giddish was let go to save money. The longer a series goes, the more expensive it gets to keep the talent as their contracts come up for renewal. Not to mention linear TV is getting less profitable in the streaming era.

She's the same age as Gal Gadot, which means she's too old to play WW in a series of movies for a decade or so. That's assuming the DCU doesn't crash and burn out of the gate. Otherwise, WW for the DCU should be under 30.

Agreed. There was nothing that made Picard Starfleet's best choice for for a mission involving the Cardassians, and even if there was, it doesn't mean he should have been taken off his command.

Grammer's decision to push forward with the reboot without the involvement of David Hyde Pierce or Jane Leeves, even in cameo appearances, was always questionable IMO. I think it kept many fans of the original series from seeking out the reboot, which you basically have to do when it's on a streaming service. That said, I enjoyed the new series and I hope it can find another home. Paramount+ was never a good fit for it anyway.
