I think when "Strange New Worlds" ends, which I hope is not soon, will and should end with him doing his heroic move or at least the moments right before we know it is going to happen with a "to be continued" tag at the very end.

With that said, it seemed that "Enterprise" was constantly breaking cannon with the entire temporal cold wars and Xindi storylines and with the Borg episode, TNG broke cannon with the "First " movie. In TOS Cochrane was from Alpha Centauri, not Earth. And as far as the Strange New Worlds reset on Khan, since the 1990s have long ed, and the eugenics war never happened, a reset was a bit necessary. So though I am personally opposed to rewritings fate, there are many ways it could be done, after all, if Star Trek can bring Spock back from the dead and have 3 1/2 versions of the Klingons, Star Trek can do anything.

Language evolves, meanings, spellings, and slang, over time. Perhaps they just spell the word differently in the 23 century??? 🤔😀

Actually, whatever is in the background looks like a shuttle to me. Perhaps it is the name of a shuttle we are seeing only part of.
