Is Superman's runtime long enough?
For sure! As the first Superman movie in the DCU, I think 2 hours and 9 minutes is pretty solid. I believe the big-name heroes should always get movies that exceed 2 hours, and as the DCU and David Corenswet's Superman grow, future sequels could have bigger events and thus receive longer runtimes.
Who should play the DCU's Alfred?
I'm also in the Ralph Fiennes train for DCU Batman. That said, if it had to be somebody else, I also believe that Jude Law would be quite the unexpected pic if we are going with a Batman in his 20s.
Should Ilsa have come back for Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning?
I'm of two minds here, as I was also disappointed by her death. However, Tom Cruise had great chemistry with Hayley Atwell, and their characters' interactions would not have worked to the same effect if Rebecca Ferguson returned as Ilsa. That said, I would have loved her in a flashback just so she was present for what could be the franchise's final movie.
Is Sabrina Carpenter right for a new Mamma Mia movie?
She's perfect! Not only can Sabrina Carpenter sing, but her comedic timing is amazing, so she would be the ideal addition to the franchise.
Why are so many recent video games almost immediately getting adaptation deals?
I think the video game-to-movie adaptation boom makes sense. There have been quite a few hits in recent years, and most prestige games nowadays feel very cinematic in the first place, like The Last of Us. While I think the game should be out for longer than Split Fiction's case, if the story and concept are strong, I'm always game for a movie/TV show adaptation.
Who are the MCU heroes most likely to die in Doomsday and Secret Wars?
I definitely feel like there will be at least one major death, since that is an Avengers movie tradition at this point. Based on that, this is my top five for possible Avengers: Doomsday deaths:
5- Magneto
4- Ant-Man
3- Charles Xavier
2- Loki
1- Thor
Let's play Desert Island: Which three TV shows or movies could you watch forever, if you had to?
Oh this is fun! For TV I would go with: Supernatural, How I Met Your Mother, and The Walking Dead. As for movies, I also agree that it's a bit harder, but it would have to be: Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Dark Knight, and Jurassic Park.
What June 2025 movie are you most excited for?
I have to say it's How To Train Your Dragon. Sure, the live-action remake seems to hit many of the same beats as the animated movie, but there is something special to seeing these characters take life in a new way, and I'm intrigued by which changes are made and how they fit in.
Steven Yeun missed out on Sentry, but who else could he play in the MCU?
Mister Negative is really the easy answer here, as Steven Yeun would knock it out of the park. That said, I also feel like he would be great as the X-Men's Mister Sinister, and yeah, not because of the similar name haha
Should Deadpool have died in Deadpool & Wolverine?
Nope! I feel like that would have been an awful way to go since he just ed the MCU. Deadpool & Wolverine was as exciting and emotional as it should have been, and Deadpool can continue being a fun part of the MCU going forward.
Now that Jessica Jones is in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, how likely is it that Luke Cage and Iron Fist are as well?
With Daredevil building an army and the announcement that Jessica Jones is in season 2, I definitely feel that both Luke Cage and Iron Fist will also return. That said, since Marvel only officially announced Krysten Ritter's MCU return, I think that Jessica Jones will have a bigger role than the other two Defenders in Daredevil: Born Again season 2.
I feel like the Scarlet Witch's MCU arc is even worse now after Thunderbolts*
I fully agree with you. That is why I feel like Marvel dropping the original plan to have Doctor Strange play a role in WandaVision was a poor choice. It could have led to a completely different MCU arc for the Scarlet Witch, with Strange helping her through Wanda's grief. Oh well...
Should Sebastian Stan play Luke Skywalker?
I would love to see a solo series for Luke Skywalker telling the story of his Jedi Academy/Temple and also see him in a sizable role in the conflict with Thrawn. While the CGI has gotten better with time, I think only recasting allows Luke to be a full-fledged character for projects like those, and Sebastian Stan is a terrific actor who looks like young Mark Hamill, so do it!
Would you watch an Imperial-focused Star Wars series starring Ben Mendelsohn's Director Krennic?
Honestly, I would watch anything that has a similar tone to Andor. That said, a Krennic project would be perfect for the darker, more mature side of Star Wars, so I would love to see it.
What's your biggest hope for the MCU's Ironheart series?
I know it's a long shot, but I would love to see the A.I. Tony Stark like in the comics. With Robert Downey Jr. back in the MCU, I hope it happens in another project, if not in Ironheart.
After the new Superman trailer, does Nicholas Hoult feel right for Lex Luthor?
1000%. The thing I absolutely love about James Gunn's Superman so far is that all the characters in it feel like their comic book selves. Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor has the potential to rival Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum if his performance is as good as the trailers make it seem.
Did the new Superman trailer give away too much?
I feel like we got the crucial themes and elements to be gripped by the movie's story without feeling like we know exactly how it is going to go. What I loved about the trailer was delving deeper into David Corenswet's Superman/Clark Kent performance, and it seems to be one for the ages.
Is Ironheart going to finally introduce THAT villain to the MCU?
I continue to be confident that Sacha Baron Cohen is playing Mephisto in Ironheart. He could be behind the markings seen on The Hood's back. However, given how we have been burned in the past, I'm keeping room in my theories for it to turn out to be a human version of Dormammu, which could still be cool.
Fallout has already been renewed for season 3, which means Prime Video is confident in it, right?
For sure! Fallout season 1 was such a hit that I can understand all the enthusiasm. If I'm not mistaken, one of the stars has commented on how the show's creators have a plan to go 5 or 6 seasons with the series, and I would be there for all of them.
What did you think about the first look at Nicholas Cage's live-action Spider-Man Noir?
It couldn't have been more perfect! I'm definitely hyped for it and think Nicolas Cage's Spider-Man Noir looks as comics-accurate as he could possibly look. 2026 can't come soon enough.
