Arielle Kebbel stars in Fox's new most anticipated TV shows debuting in the fall of 2024 and follows the lifeguards who protect the North Shore in O'ahu, Hawai'i. Kebbel stars as Emily "Em" Wright, the only female lifeguard on the team at the beginning of Rescue: HI-Surf's pilot.

Rescue: HI-Surf premieres on Sunday, September 22, at 8 pm ET on Fox before swiftly moving to its regular timeslot on Monday, September 23, at 9 pm ET, following the premiere of 9-1-1: Lone Star season 5.

The North Shore is one of the most dangerous stretches of coastline in the world due to its powerful waves, currents, and swells. However, this is also why it's one of the most popular destinations for surfing. As a result, the lifeguards have to be the best of the best. The characters in Rescue: HI-Surf save lives every day, making the show similar to 9-1-1, and Kebbel stars as one of the first responders in the new Fox action drama series.

Arielle Kebbel's Last Series Regular Role In A Show With More Than 2 Seasons Was Ballers In 2016

Kebbel's Recent TV Shows Have Been Canceled After 1 Or 2 Seasons

Rescue: HI-Surf star Arielle Kebbel has had a string of bad luck regarding her TV shows. After she left the main cast of Ballers in 2016, Kebbel's series regular roles have quickly come and gone. Whereas Ballers ran for five seasons and was quite successful, Midnight, Texas and Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector weren't so lucky.

Kebbel was a part of the main cast in Midnight, Texas and Lincoln Rhyme, which were canceled not too long after their premieres. There was a spark of hope with Midnight, Texas when NBC renewed the supernatural drama for a second season. However, that optimism was short-lived because the show ended after only two seasons and 19 episodes. Meanwhile, Lincoln Rhyme was quickly put out of its misery when NBC nixed it following its 10-episode first season. So, it has been eight years since Kebbel was a series regular in a TV show that ran for longer than two seasons.

Why Rescue: Hi-Surf Is Best Positioned To Break Arielle Kebbel's Streak

Rescue: HI-Surf Airs Directly After 9-1-1: Lone Star On Fox

Fox's Rescue: HI-Surf is Arielle Kebbel's best chance in a while to star in a series that lasts for multiple seasons. Yes, network TV is slowly dying, but the shows that perform the best are action dramas. 9-1-1 is thriving following its move from Fox to ABC and CBS's Tracker became the number-one entertainment series after only one season (per TV shows in the One Chicago franchise have reached double-digit seasons. If any new Fox series can succeed, it's Rescue: HI-Surf.
