Marvel Rivals players keep finding new ways to utilize heroes in ways we may not have expected, and Rocket Raccoon appears to be at the forefront this time. While Rocket Raccoon is known to be one of the best healers in the game, he is also sometimes made into a meme, given his "useless" attack ability. While this isn't actually true, Rocket Raccoon is not useless in any way, fans seem to have taken a rather interesting approach to playing the Guardian of the Galaxy.
Reddit weeb-chankun made a post stating, "Y'all heard of 0 dmg Rocket, apparently 0 healing Rocket is also a thing." The reference made here is that a lot of players have complained via Reddit forums prior that Rocket mains seem to spam their healing orb and do zero damage throughout the match. The tables have now appeared to turn, as this Rocket Raccoon player only did DPS and had zero heals.
Rocket Raccoon Can Melt Tanks In Marvel Rivals, But 0 Heals Is A Bit Odd
That Doesn't Mean You Shouldn't Still Heal Your Friends
Rocket Raccoon players usually opt to spam heals and do no damage, but this fan seems to do the exact opposite. While this isn't always a bad thing, as Rocket can literally melt through tanks like butter with his main attack, that doesn't mean they shouldn't heal at all. Commenter ghosststorm makes a great point, as they write,
"I wish people stopped doing these troll 'no damage rocket', 'no healing rocket', 'no revives Rocket' challenges. They give this character a really bad rep and people immediately see picking him as throwing."
Other commenters agree with this sentiment, as Rivals has an entire toolkit to use to turn the tide during a match, and if someone is intentionally refusing to use said tools, it can be considered throwing to some.
Our Take: Using A Hero's Entire Toolkit Should Be The Meta In Marvel Rivals
Forget 2, 2, 2 & 2,1,3 -- Always Use The Hero As Intended
While, of course, there are metas in Marvel Rivals that just work, such as two tanks, two heals, and two DPS, if players aren't using the toolkits properly, meta teams mean nothing. One of the biggest issues I have with Rivals is that some of the hero abilities are not properly laid out or explained well in-game. Let's use Captain America as an example, as his ultimate ability gives teammates a major Bonus Health boost if they run through the trail he leaves behind.

Marvel Rivals Devs Finally Implement A Feature To Stop Mid-Match Leavers, But Fans Think NetEase Missed One Crucial Detail
NetEase has brought a new feature to report players for leaving mid-match in Marvel Rivals, but fans think a bigger issue needs a fast fix.
If other players don't play Captain America, and the Cap main themselves doesn't know this, his ult is usually wasted in a backline solo. This ability could be used to save healers being backlined, or if you are using it solo, run back through the Strategists on your team to give them a health boost. An entire toolkit for every hero should be used to the best of your ability to win matches in Marvel Rivals, even Rocket Raccoon.
