Spider-Man is starting a new chapter in his life after the shocking events of Spider-Man 4. The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of Spider-Man (Tom Holland) has been a success with the audience, but some aspects about him have been criticized, such as skipping his street-level hero era and going straight into sending Spider-Man to big missions on Earth and beyond with the rest of the MCU’s heroes.

Spider-Man can now add a multiversal conflict to his list of battles after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which also brought a massive change to his life, as he’s now all alone after confirmed by Feige, and there are a couple of characters from that branch that Spider-Man can meet and forces with in Spider-Man 4, thus forming new alliances and possibly friendships, as well.

1 Daredevil

There are many rumors about the plot and characters of Spider-Man 4, and one of the biggest ones is that it will see the big-screen return of Matt Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil (Charlie Cox). After the cancelation of his TV show on Netflix and the expansion of the MCU’s multiverse, there was a lot of speculation about Daredevil’s official arrival to the MCU, which was confirmed in No Way Home when he briefly appeared to help Peter Parker clear his name and have all his charges dropped. Daredevil returned in the TV series MCU should avoid making Daredevil Spiderman’s new mentor.

2 The Punisher

Another character from Netflix’s Marvel shows confirmed to return in the MCU is Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher (Jon Bernthal). Spider-Man: Far From Home. Castle’s brutal ways will surely bring more inner conflict to Spider-Man, especially if The Punisher is the only street-level hero he knows, as they don’t share the same methods and perspective.

3 Luke Cage

Another character from Netflix’s Marvel TV shows who could be formally introduced in the MCU is Luke Cage (Mike Colter). After being subjected to experiments in prison, Luke Cage was given superhuman strength and unbreakable skin, and has fought various criminals since then and has also ed forces with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Iron First, forming the team The Defenders. Given his comic book history with Spider-Man, Luke Cage can easily and smoothly be introduced to the MCU, as in the comics, he was hired by J. Jonah Jameson to catch Spider-Man after the web-slinger was a suspect in the Green Goblin and Gwen Stacy’s deaths. Luke Cage could be introduced similarly to The Punisher, as the world forgot Peter Parker but not Spider-Man and what he supposedly did to Mysterio.

4 Jessica Jones

Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones

With the return of Daredevil and The Punisher, speculation about Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) also ing the MCU has grown, and she would fit perfectly in Spider-Man’s new phase as a street-level hero. Jessica Jones also has a history with Spider-Man in the comics but it’s very different from the MCU’s version of Jessica, as in the comics, she attended high school with Peter Parker, so her story would have to be different in the MCU. The last time the audience saw Jessica Jones, she was about to leave the city and with that the hero life that had brought her so much trouble, but after hearing Kilgrave’s voice in her head telling her it was ok to give in, she returned to Alias Investigation, embracing the hero life. Jessica Jones’ detective skills and powers might come in handy for Spider-Man in whatever issue he faces in Spider-Man 4.

5 Kate Bishop

One street-level hero who has already been introduced and is now active in the MCU is Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), who made her debut in the TV series Kate Bishop/Hawkeye could cross paths while fighting crime, which would make way for an interesting and funny exchange once she introduces herself with a superhero name that Spider-Man already knows well. Kate Bishop is also a hero who is closer in age to Peter Parker, which could make way for an interesting dynamic between them and give Peter a friend during these dark times.

6 Black Cat

Spider-Man starting over again all alone and becoming a street-level hero makes way for the introduction of an antagonist and potential love interest for Peter: Felicia Hardy a.k.a. Black Cat. Felicia is the daughter of a world-renowned cat burglar, and after a traumatic experience with an ex-boyfriend, she trained in different fighting styles and followed her father’s footsteps, taking the identity of Black Cat. Black Cat was originally an adversary to Spider-Man, but after falling in love with him, she became an antiheroine. However, their relationship was quite complicated, and they broke up and got back together a couple of times, and Black Cat seemed more attracted to Spider-Man than Peter Parker. Although Peter promised MJ (Zendaya) he would go back to her, the ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home proved that it won’t be that easy, so while he finds a way to revert the spell or at least get MJ to him, he can meet Black Cat, work with her, and possibly give a romantic relationship with her a try.
