There have been a number of final lightsaber duels and fight sequences in Star Wars movies and TV shows. Since the very beginning of the franchise, final duels have been a staple, particularly when it comes to Star Wars movies. 10 The Acolyte's Final Fight Sequence

Seeing Osha Turn On Her Former Master Was Thrilling

While it's no secret that The Acolyte remains one of the most highly criticized TV shows in Star Wars, if not the single most criticized, the final fight sequence in The Acolyte was actually quite thrilling. This sequence began with a face-off between Master Sol and Qimir/the Stranger, arguably the two best duelists in the show, at least in of who we saw. Qimir in particular proved to be an incredible duelist, and his fights were consistently among the best on the show.

In addition to Qimir and Sol's battle, though, Osha also had the opportunity to confront Sol as her former Jedi Master, and this became one of the most exciting moments in The Acolyte. For one, this was the first time the process of bleeding a kyber crystal was shown on screen, as Osha accidentally bled the crystal in Sol's lightsaber. It was also fascinating to watch Osha turn on Sol, whom she had clearly loved before, and Force choke him. This isn't the very best final battle, but it does make the list.

9 Obi-Wan And Darth Vader's Obi-Wan Kenobi Battle

This Fight Provided Closure In A Brand-New Way

Although these scenes certainly suffered from Obi-Wan Kenobi's lighting issue, the final fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin/Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi was also among the best in Star Wars. Yes, this was a well-choreographed duel, but it also had incredible emotional resonance. Namely, this fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin/Vader provided an emotional closure that was unexpected following Revenge of the Sith.

Similar to a scene between Ahsoka and Vader in Star Wars Rebels, this battle saw half of Darth Vader's mask cracked, with Anakin's face peeking through. It was then that Obi-Wan and Anakin/Vader spoke plainly about Anakin's fall to the dark side, with Obi-Wan apologizing "for all of it" and Vader (surprisingly) reassuring Obi-Wan that he wasn't to blame. Whether that was a kindness or not, it was a pivotal moment in Anakin Skywalker's Star Wars timeline and a meaningful bit of closure for this pair that had once been like brothers.

8 Din Djarin, Bo-Katan, And Grogu's Moff Gideon Face-Off

This Mandalorian Scene Was So Powerful

Lightsaber duels are undeniably some of the most exciting scenes in Star Wars, but The Mandalorian managed to make its final fight plenty exciting without two lightsabers going head-to-head. Specifically, Mandalorian villain Moff Gideon had one final face-off between himself, Grogu, Bo-Katan, and Din Djarin in The Mandalorian season 3 ending. This was the conclusion to a three-season-long struggle between Moff Gideon and Din Djarin.

A number of things made this scene one of the most exciting final fights in Star Wars movies and shows, including the fact that it shockingly ended in Moff Gideon's fiery death. This also saw a stunning Force feat from Grogu, Force barrier, which is one of the lesser shown Force powers in Star Wars. This was especially meaningful because it meant Grogu protecting Din Djarin and Bo-Katan and these three characters surviving together.

7 Star Wars: The Bad Batch's Escape From Wayland

The Bad Batch Had One Final Victory

Star Wars: The Bad Batch felt truly unique in Star Wars because not only did it not focus on the Force, the Bad Batch season 3 ending in particular was exciting, emotional, and overall well-done.

Like The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch didn't end with a Jedi-versus-Jedi lightsaber fight. Instead, the clones headed to Mount Tantiss on Wayland, the location of Emperor Palpatine's cloning experimentation, to rescue Omega from the clutches of the Empire. This ended with an all-out fight between the Bad Batch and various Imperials, such as the death of Dr. Hemlock, which ended in the destruction of this cloning facility—a major blow to the Empire. What made this final fight even more satisfying was the fact that the Bad Batch then got an incredibly rare happy ending in Star Wars.

6 Luke Skywalker's Mandalorian Entrance

Luke Skywalker's cameo in The Mandalorian season 2 ending took audiences completely by surprise and became one of the most thrilling moments in Star Wars thus far. This was especially exciting because it took place after Return of the Jedi but before Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the Star Wars timeline, meaning it was a look at Luke Skywalker in an era we haven't seen before on screen.
