The LEGO Group has just revealed the next addition to its Star Wars helmet line. A newer subtheme created in the last few years, these LEGO helmet models have been very popular with Star Wars fans and generally older LEGO collectors. While they don't have the typical play features or accompanying minifigures most sets do, the helmets do have some nice detail with great display value, perfect for desks and bookshelves. As such, it's been announced that the AT-AT Driver Helmet is coming soon in 2025.
Set for release on March 1st, LEGO's new AT-AT Driver Helmet (75429) was officially announced on StarWars.com as part of its new "Power of the Force" product campaign. As such, the helmet model can now be found listed as a new set coming soon on LEGO.com. Below you can find the official images and product info for the new Star Wars LEGO set:

Featuring 730 pieces, the new AT-AT Driver Helmet has a piece count that's pretty on par with LEGO's past Star Wars helmet models. While the $69.99 price tag may give some collectors pause, it does track with past helmets released by LEGO. Likewise, the price-per-price ratio feels pretty fair, even without the inclusion of minifigures. The helmet itself also looks very accurate to the ones seen during the Battle of Hoth when the Empire deployed AT-AT walkers to attack Echo Base and take down its shield generator in the opening scenes of The Empire Strikes Back.

I'm Really Glad I Waited Until Skeleton Crew Finished To Build The LEGO Onyx Cinder
Although the Star Wars model was released back in August, I'm glad I waited until Skeleton Crew finished to build the LEGO Onyx Cinder.
Beginning in 2020 as a brand-new subtheme, the helmet line has included several iconic character helmets, such as Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Captain Rex, Commander Cody, and more. The line has also featured previous Imperial helmets such as the classic Stormtrooper, Scout Trooper, Darktrooper, and TIE Pilot. Now, the AT-AT Driver s the collection as the 12th helmet in the entire subtheme.

The New AT-AT Driver Helmet Is A Promising Return For The Star Wars LEGO Theme
2024 Didn't Have Any New Helmets
It's worth noting that 2024 did not feature any new helmet models from LEGO. This initially led to some theories that the subtheme might have reached its end. However, it seems as though LEGO was simply taking a brief hiatus to focus on other models, returning in 2025 with the new AT-AT Driver helmet (and rumors that even more helmets are on the way later this year). At any rate, it will be exciting to see what other Star Wars LEGO sets this new helmet model when new sets are released on March 1st.
