The 2007 teen comedy Superbad's best quotes are from its three main characters, Seth, Evan, and Fogell aka McLovin, who are played by Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, respectively. Directed by Greg Mottola (Adventureland, The Daytrippers), Superbad is written by comedic partners Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, the latter of whom plays Officer Michaels in the film. The protagonists, Seth and Evan, are loosely based on Rogen and Goldberg and their real-life experiences growing up as seniors in high school in Vancouver, Canada.
Superbad was the 21st highest-grossing movie in 2007 with a domestic total of $121.46 million. It was a breakout movie for both Hill and Cera and is widely considered a landmark film in the modern comedy genre. It was the feature film writing debut of both Rogen and Goldberg, who went on to pen other classic comedy films such as Pineapple Express (2008), This is the End (2013), and Freaks and Geeks (1999-2000).
Superbad is now streaming exclusively on Netflix.
