DC has revealed new details about the final month of Superman's massive "House of Brainiac" crossover event, which will have major consequences for the DC Universe. As Superman, Lobo, and Lex Luthor battle Brainiac, it's clear the fate of the DCU rests in this unlikely team's hands.
The final month of the "House of Brainiac" saga begins in Action Comics #1066 by Joshua Williamson and Rafa Sandoval, where the Superman Family finally comes face to face with the Brainiac Queen, "a cosmic horror unlike anything they’ve ever seen." Lobo's fate will also be decided in this pivotal issue.
But the event truly explodes in the crossover's final issue, Superman #15 by Williamson and Sandoval, where Superman and Lex Luthor must team up to save their loved ones from Brainiac before it's too late. The stakes are genuinely high, as DC promises this event will lead directly to this summer's major event series, "House of Brainiac" reading orders, available below.

The major players and events in "House of Brainiac" have been teased throughout the Dawn of DC era, especially Lobo's strange connection to Brainiac. DC revealed in 2023 that Brainiac had preserved a lost Czarnian city, meaning Lobo is no longer the last of his kind. Now Brainiac has a violent Czarnian army at his command — along with the mysterious Brainiac Queen, who will make her debut during this event. Lobo will make significant appearances throughout the crossover, including in the Green Lantern back-up stories by Jeremy Adams and Kevin Maguire, which will also feature Guy Gardner.
Along with Lobo, Guy, and Lex — a strange bunch — Superman will gather other allies in his fight against Brainiac, especially those traditionally associated with the Superman Family. The Power Girl title in particular will feature a tie-in arc by Leah Williams, Eduardo Pansica, and Júlio Ferreira, in which Power Girl will team up with Lobo's daughter Crush to protect Metropolis from Brainiac's invading Czarnians. In the main story across Action Comics and Superman, both Supergirl and Superboy will step up to protect their city and family.
Superman's "House of Brainiac" Crossover Will Have Massive Consequences
This Superman crossover leads to Absolute Power by Mark Waid and Dan Mora, available this July from DC Comics
Beyond the confines of this massive crossover, DC's newly-released details about the final month of the "House of Brainiac" event promise that this conclusion will have major consequences for the DC Universe beyond the Superman Family, especially as this story leads directly to Absolute Power, an event starring DC's new "Trinity of Evil." Between Brainiac, Amanda Waller, and Batman's enemy Zur-En-Arrh, the DCU is in serious trouble — and it spells danger for the final month of Superman's latest all-out brawl with his classic enemy Brainiac.
The third and final month of the "House of Brainiac" crossover begins with Action Comics #1066, available June 18th from DC Comics.
