David Corenswet takes flight as the Man of Steel in the first official DC Universe's Chapter 1: "Gods and Monsters" and beyond. As Superman wrapped filming earlier this fall, the world has been waiting patiently to finally see the 2025 movie in action.

Following the unveiling of the first poster with the titular hero, DC Studios debuted the very first Superman movie teaser as a big surprise to the DC Universe audience. The footage features Corenswet as the next live-action version of the Man of Steel in Gunn's DC Universe. Check it out below:

Despite getting an early Superman teaser today, DC Studios is still set to release the full teaser trailer tomorrow, with official s confirming on X and Youtube that it will release on December 19, at 9 AM ET/6 AM PT. The full Superman teaser trailer that is getting released tomorrow will be the same footage that was recently screened at a press event, with ScreenRant in attendance.

What The First Superman Movie Footage Reveals

While serving as a teaser for the Superman movie teaser trailer, the footage plays with a focus on the world around the Man of Steel. Even though Corenswet's Clark Kent isn't seen in the teaser, there is a big emphasis on key players in Superman's mythology. The Superman teaser offers a first look at the Daily Planet staff, including Rachel Brosnahan's Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo's Jimmy Olsen, Beck Bennett's Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover's Cat Grant, and Christopher McDonald's Ron Troupe.

The rest of the Superman teaser sets up a lot of mystery, as regular citizens are shown observing someone or something that is taking a lot of their attention. It's likely this is going to be more than just them observing Superman, with these moments potentially also being tied to the larger plot at hand. That could include anything from Superman having a showdown with a villain to perhaps something that will involve the other DC Universe heroes who are confirmed to be part of the Superman cast.
