  • Closing out the series doesn't give the franchise as much room to breathe and explore, which are its real strengths. Nevertheless, the fantasy story disguised as sci-fi gets a suitably mythic conclusion.

  • Return of the Jedi may be the best of the original trilogy for me. Lucas had an ending in mind, he knew Harrison Ford wasn't too concerned, but everyone gave it their all. From a fun rescue mission to espionage and an all-out assault on the ultimate planet-killer, this movie is the perfect end to the Galactic Civil War. The spectacle is brilliant and holds up, but you begin to appreciate the smaller emotional beats when you get older and the nualnces, even the special edition changes are at their best here. I can't wait to get the chance to see it on the big screen.

  • A rather satisfying conclusion to the original Star Wars trilogy.

  • Return of the Jedi has always been my favorite movie of the Star Wars trilogy, hands down. It encomes everything I love about the Star Wars movies, from the action and emotion, to the soundtrack and cinematography.

  • My favorite movie in the original trilogy. I'm gonna say it, I love the ewoks and thought there were a better choice than to have wookies instead. The final showdown between Vader and Luke into Anakin's redemption is one of the best moments in the entire saga. It is so good and a fantastic way to end Anakin's story.
