Super Sentai

Created by Shotaro Ishino Mori in the 1970s, Super Sentai is a superhero multimedia franchise launched in Japan. Super Sentai follows the adventures of different groups of teens and young adults who harness a power gifted to them to battle against alien invaders to protect their world. Since the series premiere in 1975, the franchise has expanded to include over forty different television series and over sixty films and is the basis for the westernized "Power Rangers" franchise.
