The Wheel of Time season 3 is expected to arrive on Prime Video sometime in 2025, though the exact release date is still not confirmed.
The Wheel of Time official posted the first poster for season 3 as the release date "draws near." The poster captures Rand al'Thor carrying Moraine through the desert, surrounded by arrows, seemingly heading to the city of Rhuidean in the Aiel Waste. The poster also features Variety's glowing review, praising the season as "blazing a new path for fantasy." With CCXP taking place this Saturday, the official also promises more news to come. Check out the first-look poster below:
What This Means For The Wheel of Time Season 3
The Wheel Of Time Might Return Sooner Than Expected
Back in 2021, Variety gave The Wheel of Time an unflattering review by comparing the first season to Game of Thrones while poking at the series' hurried pace and complicated storylines. It seems that time has changed, and so has the series' reception. Season 1 of the television adaptation of Robert Jordan's book series of the same time had an 81% critical approval rate and 61% audience approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to season 2's stronger reception from both sides with 86% and 80% respectively.

Who Can Teach Rand How To Channel? The Wheel Of Time Already Set Up 2 Perfect Candidates
The Wheel of Time TV show could use two characters to streamline multiple branching plotlines, making them the perfect mentors that Rand needs.
It seems that season 3 has a big chance to outperform the previous two seasons. With The Wheel of Time cast already teasing a grander story and more mind-blowing development, the review no doubt adds to the hype. While there's still very little to know about season 3, the information in the first poster strongly indicates that the series may come back sooner than expected.
Our Take On The Wheel of Time Season 3
We Can't Wait For Season 3
There are mysteries surrounding season 3 and many burning questions that need answers. The source material has offered some insights about what viewers can expect in season 3. However, The Wheel of Time made changes from the books that derive several characters from their book arcs. Rand al'Thor defeats Ishamael in season 2, but in The Great Hunt, Ishamael's journey doesn't end there. The villain would find a way to live and fight Rand again.
Many suspect that Ishamael might return in the season, and with more news coming in light of CX, viewers might be able to find out more about the highly anticipated new season of The Wheel of Time. The first poster certainly teases an emotionally epic journey that's stunningly heartbreaking and potentially full of hardships.
