Because the Dragon Lord will have three meters to indicate Ward, Armor, and HP, players will need to bring elemental weapons or spells that deal damage in Lightning, Poison, and Fire. Additionally, players should prepare for minor enemies to fight alongside the Dragon Lord, including Skeletons, Spectrals, and Wyverns. To quickly eliminate these foes, players may also want to bring weapons that deal Frost damage. Players will also want to prioritize spells that have a large area of effect so that they can target both the boss and the minor enemies. The best weapons or spells to bring will depend on the player's chosen class in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.
For the first phase of this boss fight, the Dragon Lord will remain easy to target on the ground in the arena. Players should still navigate with caution, as they can fall off the sides of the arena if they stray too far. The Dragon Lord will slam a fist into the ground, causing icicles to sprout across the arena. Players are susceptible to damage from the impact and Frost damage if they touch one of the icicles. Dragon Lord also has a ranged attack as it will shoot lightning at the player. Another attack of note during this phase is the poison attack. During this move, the Dragon Lord will launch a huge area of effect poison blast that players should avoid by jumping over. Players should use any Legendary weapons to maximize damage, such as the Masterwork Handbow in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Once players deal sufficient damage to the Dragon Lord and his summoned forces, they will enter phase two of the fight.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands: Dragon Lord Boss Fight Phases Two and Three
Phase two of the fight with the Dragon Lord will begin when the boss reappears with new armor that allows him to fly. Players should be prepared to see the same attacks from phase one with some additional mechanics added. One of the most dangerous attacks during this phase is when Dragon Lord throws spectral blades at the player, which can both deal significant damage and push them off the arena. Like the boss, the summoned Wyverns during this phase can also fly.
Players will know when they have progressed in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands to the third phase of the fight because the Dragon Lord will summon a powerful ally, Bernadette the Dracolich. The Dragon Lord will continue to use his moves from the prior phases, and players will also have to contend with a new set of moves from Bernadette. To maximize damage to Bernadette, players should prioritize weapons and spells that deal Frost damage. In addition, players should prepare for Bernadette to have several ranged attacks that deal Fire damage.
Once players successfully defeat the Dragon Lord, they will be rewarded with gold and valuable items. When players enter the opening that appears in the arena, they will find eight chests containing loot in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Additionally, this fight can be repeated if players want to farm for the rewards.
